The apartment truly felt like a home and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the apartment also included a washing machine and dryer, which was very convenient. When we arrived, we could still smell the bleach, which gave us confidence that the apartment had been freshly cleaned. The bed was comfortable, and although there was a sofa bed available, we brought our own air mattress just to be safe. The apartment is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet it is still close to Old Québec, making it a great location for sightseeing. We parked our car right outside the house without issue. The host was responsive to our questions and checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was going well. We reached out to the office as we have mistakenly took the ferry for a fastest trip to the apartment even though it's not needed but it was a good experience as tourists. If you're planning to visit Old Québec, I recommend planning your itinerary and parking in advance, as parking can be confusing and quite expensive.

However, I found the $173 service fee to be quite high, especially considering that the property could benefit from additional maintenance and a more thorough cleaning. For example, the bathroom door was difficult to open because it would stick, the windows had not been cleaned, and some of the baseboard heater covers were broken and left open. The apartment is located in the basement, which may explain why it felt damp and humid. There was also a noticeable musty odor, and I hope it was not caused by mold. The unit also became quite warm after cooking. Although fans were provided, they did not do much to cool the space. Since it rained during our stay, the temperature was manageable, but I imagine the apartment could become uncomfortably hot during warmer weather.
