The space and rooms was clean and welcoming ! I really enjoyed time in the front space to journal and read, often a nice breeze passed through which was welcomed :)
The couple that runs the space is incredible! They are always smiling and ensuring the guests are happy and enjoying. I came alone and left with a family, I will certainly visit again.
Also they cook amazing !

I stayed with my spouse at Sea Turtles Bungalow, and it was a calm and relaxing experience. The property is located near the railway track; however, the trains operate only until 10:00 PM. During peak hours (from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and again in the evening), trains pass approximately every 30 minutes. Despite this, we did not find it disturbing at all.
In fact, it felt like a unique adventure. Sri Lanka’s historic railway system dates back to the Dutch colonial period, which adds character to the experience. The bungalow itself is a beautiful 120-year-old colonial property that was carefully renovated in 2023. The renovation has been done tastefully, preserving its rich heritage while offering modern comfort. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, elegant, and very comfortable.
We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the bungalow. The meals were prepared by an internationally experienced chef, and the food was absolutely delicious.
I highly recommend Sea Turtles Bungalow to anyone looking for a peaceful and romantic holiday. This charming colonial bungalow is truly one of the best places to stay in Sri Lanka.
