Hilarys Hideout with heated pool

Beautiful property. Very spacious and well equipped. Nice bathrooms with good shower pressure. Comfortable bed in main bedroom. Great seating areas both inside and outside.

Followed all the instructions to get the pool heated but it just didn’t work. Hosts gave us a number to call a pool technician the next day, but given the sun had disappeared by day two of our stay we missed the boat. The heated pool was a big factor in us choosing this property, so a little disappointing. A suggestion would be to have the pool heated for guests on arrival - particularly given ‘heated pool’ is in the name of property listing. Not an unreasonable expectation considering the cost to stay in this property. Adding to the frustration, there are some very low tree branches across the driveway which scratched our car. These should be cut back, or at least a sign added to make sure people know to be extra careful. Whilst bed in main room was comfortable, our guests using one of the other rooms said bed was creaky and they rolled into the middle. Smaller rooms probably fine for kids or one adult only. Cleaning was just ok. Had to use split system heater on second day, and it was thick with dust.

Stemmed wine glasses and a bit more cutlery wouldn’t go amiss. The streamed tv was slow at times freezing the picture briefly, terrestrial tv would have helped. The pool heater didnt always work. None of these issues upset any of the group though and we had a great stay.
