The house is quite comfortable and located near the Rye back beach. My issue was with the damage deposit of $800 which was supposed to be paid on a credit card four days before I arrived. I don't have one so I tried to contact the host for help without success. Ended up paying by debit card which was accepted. I found that experience a bit nerve wracking and checked the house for any possible damage on arrival. Other than that the stay was pleasant.

Lovely property and good location as a short walk to a good cafe and surf beach.
Could have been cleaner but we generally really liked it.

Lovely clean property with a very pleasant outdoor deck and yard area.
Booking verification process and check in communication was a little clunky, with messages not coming through to me and a poorly designed ID verification eform not working properly, which caused much follow up on my behalf.
I feel that the $2000 security hold was way excessive.

might just need to check the central heating. it ran at 30c the whole time. Also, the hot water system couldn’t cater for 3 showers.
