Loved that it had separate bedrooms to accommodate 5-6 people. Location was very convenient, within close walking distance to all the sights. It was clean and well stocked.

Only had one key, which became problematic for us. However, I never reached out to the manager to see if we could get additional keys. The apartment door cannot be locked or unlocked without the key.

The apartment is nice, and the location is convenient.

Constructive criticism: As far as I know, the owners are new to the market, so I’d like to point out a few things so they can address them (if they wish): the apartment description doesn’t mention that there is no living room (which has been converted into a bedroom with a table for 6), so it’s inconvenient if you want to have dinner at home. It might be fine for a family, but for friends (as in my case), it was a hassle. The kitchen is too small to serve as a dining area. Some improvements to be made 1) Cleanliness: We found the oven and freezer dirty, as well as some pots and coffee cups. 2) There are no ceiling lights in the double room and in the small room (where, in my opinion, it’s difficult for two people to sleep). There are no closets to hang clothes in. 3) Bathroom: The bathtub has trouble draining; the sink works better but still with some difficulty. The shower curtain isn’t long enough horizontally. 4) Kitchen: There’s no toaster, and the kettle needs to be replaced. The glasses need to be replaced. 5) Hallway light switches: Only one works at the entrance; the one near the bathroom doesn’t turn off the light.

The location was great. Easy to walk to Basel center and get an Uber to other places. We did not use the public buses much as it was just as easy to walk. The apartment was clean.

The noise was not expected. It is on a busy street and it was warm so we had to keep the windows open. Other places we had stayed provided fans, this one did not have any. With people walking by smoking and the cars going by it was hard to sleep at night and we often closed the windows due to the smoke smell. The shower head doesn't put out much pressure and there is a large height to get into the tub which was challenging for my son. There also seemed to be now power plugs in the bathroom for my wife to use her hair dryer (we couldn't find them). The ad also showed a balcony which we did not get.
