A brilliant option for a small family in the centre of Basel.

Fabulous location in the heart of the old town, lots of space, good value for money, very clean, and good kitchen facilities. Close to a supermarket and trams going in many directions, and just a few minutues walk from the river. Good shops and cafes all around. We appreciated the flexibility to leave our luggage in a safe place after we checked out, and hosts were very responsive and helpful.

The sofas were uncomfortable and kept breaking- although the hosts were prompt to repair them when we asked. We could have used some extra pillows.

Clean, quiet, self service, apartment with an ideal location in the heart of Basel’s old city.

Location was perfect in the old city and close to trams in the marktplatz. The rooms are no frills—just what you need for a quiet, relaxing, and enjoyable stay in the heart of Basel’s old city. Clean, roomy, and the kitchenette had everything we needed. Walk everywhere, including a couple minutes to a Coop market. What else do you need?

Comfartable stay for us.

The location is the heart of the old town, close to shop, restaurants. Everthing we need is considered, full equipped kithchen, new kithchen tools. It was a comfartable place for short trip.

It would be better if there is a hanger somewhere in the bathroom .

Modern, quiet and clean apartment in the old center

Modern, quiet apartment in the center of the old town. Plenty of space, huge bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The big balcony was also very nice and quiet.

One could smell the cigarette smoke from other balconies and the curtains didn't close all the way.

Worth it!

The location was fab! Bang in the center of Basel. Decent space specially for 1 or 2 people max. All the basic amenities were provided. It was easy to communicate with them and get the keys timely.

I got an apartment which was on the lowest floor next to the elevators which was quite noisy. They didn't change it upon request either but maybe all apartments were full.

Great space and location

Location was excellent. Restaurants, shops, cafes in abundance. A short tram ride from the station which is free for visitors. This was gratefully organised by the management. Decent sized apartment and reasonably well equipped. Guest laundry in the building very welcome addition. Communication from staff was great with someone meeting us to store luggage until check-in.

It wasn’t used by us but I didn’t like the sofa bed which was a fold in half job with an unattractive cover! We didn’t even use it as a couch! A proper sofa bed would elevate the aesthetic quality of the apartment as I feel this item cheapened the look of the apartment which is otherwise nicely decorated.

Good accommodation with some important considerations depending on your travel needs.

Great location, close to everything.

Mind the location is in pedestrian zone, so you need to search for the parking if travelling by car. This was explained, but we were not prepared to parking rates which added significantly to the total cost. Additional challenge was the extremely hot weather - no conditioner. 4 ppl in one apartment with one fan and no option of opening windows (as VERY noisy due to close tram and usual city activities) was quite exhausting.

A very nice room, fully of cooking equipments. The responses in communication was excellent. The location is great, tram allows you to go around the city. We were a bit worry about the check in process but turned out it was a very smooth process. Thanks.

A perfect place to stay in the heart of the old town. We’d definitely stay again.

The apartment is in a quiet, central location with easy access to trams. It was spacious, clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Power adaptors are even provided in case you get caught out, as the Swiss adaptors are different to the standard two pin adaptors common in Europe. The city tax is easily paid by bank transfer prior to arrival and gives you access to the Basel card. This gives you free public transport within Basel and discounts on many tourist attractions. There’s a lift in the property, good wifi and a COOP city supermarket within walking distance. For anyone needing it there’s a laundry facility in the basement. The host are easily contacted and prompt in reply but I doubt you’ll need to contact them. It was very warm during our stay, which was accommodated for with several electric fans. All we had to think about during our stay was what part of the beautiful city we were going to explore each day.

Excellent location

It was at a fabulous location, couple minutes walk from the main square and close to all public transport. Check in and all the procedures were easy, and all the equipments were in good condition.

We had a slight mishap with our dishwasher and it broke the day we arrived. However the call centre staff were incredibly helpful with all our troubles.

Great location

The TV is on the wall between the bed, kitchen and bathroom. It is too large for the wall and a constant menace to cause physical harm if not attentive. Taking my trash out while paying over $200 a night for the place. Where is the service?

Location, terrace, separation of sleeping area from living area, shops and restaurants nearby, also public transport. Good range of kitchen equipment, good shower.

Bed settees in living area not ideal for comfortable relaxation; bed needed a headboard as it could not be pushed fully up against the (angled) back wall. Curtains didn't fully close.

HitRental never disappoints. We enjoyed our stay in both Zurich and Basel.

The location is nice. Close to the shopping street, Coop and lots of cafes around. The size of the apartment is good. Can comfortably fit 6 adults and can find everything we need in the apartment.

When we arrived past 3pm. The apartment is not yet ready so we have to wait an hour more.

Great location and it was quiet after 9pm! Plenty of room and an outside area was a bonus at mealtime. The staff were only a msg away any time.
