Mildly disappointed

Not a bad location but Spa was not a good as other places we went to and so we were mildly disappointed with the whole stay

The Open stair cases and the Lighting were slightly dangerous, the lights kept going out leaving you to negotiate the open staircase in the dark. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, allthough was available in the shared kitchen - but no coffee or tea provided.

Hard to fault, although it is on what could be a busy road, although I was lucky as the road was closed for repairs so it was peaceful

Very nice and clean

Very nice and clean appartement in walking distance of the center of Spa. There is a bicycle storage room, entrance at the back with a different door code than the entrance to the appartement. There is a very clean and complete communal kitchen. With even a dish washer machine. You can prepare simple meals. The bed and the bathroom were very comfortable.

The floor in the appartement is underlayment. The top floor is missing. Or is this a design feature I didn’t understand.

If you care about cleanliness and hygiene, I would not recommend this place. The bed bug issue destroyed all the other experiences. We arrived there and stayed in Room 4, and initially everything seemed fine. We checked in, left our luggage, and prepared to sleep after a short exploration of the town. But around midnight, we discovered bed bugs in the bed. We immediately sent a message to the emergency number provided and later contacted Booking.com's customer service. Unfortunately, since it was late at night, all they could do was send an email to the host and advise us to wait. As the hours passed, we found more bed bugs, not just in the bed, but also around the walls and near the sofa. It became unbearable. At around 3:00 AM, we packed up and left the property. We were exhausted, couldn't sleep at all, and were extremely worried about bringing the bugs home. When we returned, we had to spend hours disinfecting all our belongings. It completely ruined our short trip. The only reply we got from the host came after we were back home. They apologized and mentioned it was the fourth time they had pest control come. Honestly, that only made it worse. If the issue was ongoing, they should not have been accepting guests at all. No refund was offered and no real responsibility was taken. Just a short, insincere message. During the two weeks we followed up with customer service, the host refused to pick up any phone calls or reply to any emails regarding this issue. We’re sharing this so that others are aware. Bed bugs are a serious health and hygiene issue. We hope future travelers don’t have to go through what we did.

Zeer conformtabel verblijf. Niks ontbrak.

Alles wat nodig was, was aanwezig. Goede service. Goede ligging. Netjes en verzorgend.

Zeer moeilijk sluitende deur. Afzuiging badkamer te luid en grenzend aan slaapgedeelte. Wc spoelde niet goed door, door borrel naar douche.

De inrichting.

Geen leuning aan de trap gevaarlijk voor kinderen en oudere mensen. Weinig kookgerei vb. 1kookpot en 4 deksels. Dat had meer mogen zijn.

Schönes großes Appartement mit Gemeinschaftsküche und Aufenthaltsraum inmitten von Spa. Sehr ruhig gelegen und genug Parkplätze. Das Appartement war sehr geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet was benötigt wird. Die Bäckerei auf der anderen Straßenseite ist sehr zu empfehlen. Supermarkt fußläufig erreichbar.

Comfortabele accommodatie centraal in Spa

De accommodatie is slechts 5 minuten lopen vanaf het centrum van Spa. De kamers waren ruim, zeer schoon en comfortabel. Voor de accommodatie zijn 3 gratis parkeerplaatsen. Op de begane grond heb je een woonkamer, keuken en ruim zitgedeelte. De self check in was duidelijk en gemakkelijk. Bij problemen zijn de eigenaren gemakkelijk te bereiken via Whatsapp (of bellen).

Wij hadden (naar ons weten) de gehele accommodatie geboekt vanwege een groepsreis (4 studio’s). Echter was er op onze aankomstdag een onbekende vrouw in de woonkamer (zij had geen kamer geboekt) en de volgende dag kwam er een groep van 5 personen die de andere studio (#5) hadden geboekt. Normaal gesproken is dit geen probleem voor ons, maar omdat wij naar ons weten de gehele accommodatie hadden geboekt schrokken wij hier wel van.

Ik was blij verrast door de ruimte waarin ik mijn mountainbike veilig kon stallen en waar ook een tuinslang, werkstandaard en compressor aanwezig waren.

Le confort de la chambre.

L'escalier est très dangereux car il n'y a pas de rampe. Les minuteries dans l'escalier sont mal réglées: on se retrouve dans le noir entre deux étages. La douche, une fois mouillée est une patinoire : à peine douché j'ai glissé et je me suis blessé en tombant. Nous n'y reviendrons pas.

De stenen vloer was niet echt proper en ook de glazen en kopjes in de keuken waren niet goed afgewassen, jammer genoeg. Voor de rest alles top!

Dat je gebruik kon maken van de keuken. Verder was alles gewoon aanwezig. Super! Precies zoals op de foto's. Het was ook niet gehorig.

De trap was wel een beetje een ding. Er was geen leuning. Met bagage op en neer was daardoor wel een beetje een uitdaging.

Excellent séjour pour passer quelques jours lors d'activités au centre ou à proximité de Spa.

Appartement spacieux, très proche du centre de Spa, mais suffisamment protégé du tumulte induit lors du festival. Equipement très correct!

Nous n'étions pas prévenu que le logement se trouvait au 3ème étage, sans ascenseur, et sans main courante: arrivés au début de la septantaine, ça aurait pu poser problème. Les pièces sont fort mansardées et imposent beaucoup de prudence pour les déplacements, surtout la nuit!

Ideaal voor een nacht.

Perfecte communicatie van de hosts, alles was helemaal duidelijk voor we toekwamen. Locatie was goed, dichtbij het centrum, wel duidelijk een buurt in ontwikkeling en veel doorgaand verkeer. De plek is net gerenoveerd en onze kamer was heel netjes.

We vermoeden dat een vorige gast niet had afgewassen, we vonden wat vies bestek en borden in de keuken.

Chouette séjour à Spa

Simple et efficace, bonne literie, bon emplacement, belle douche également (nous étions dans le Studio 4). Les espaces communs sont bien organisés également. Ce n'était pas la première fois que je venais au Gîtel et j'avais apprécié mon premier séjour.

Ce n'est pas la faute des propriétaires, mais il y a eu beaucoup de bruit sur la route dans la nuit (gros camions et poubelles, je pense.)

Un bel weekend nelle Ardenne

Appartamento spazioso vicino al centro della città, che ho raggiunto tranquillamente a piedi; ho dormito con il massimo comfort senza rumori molesti e luci fastidiose. Molto bene il bagno e la dotazione di asciugamani! Al piano terra si trova una cucina in comune ben equipaggiata, dove poter consumare i pasti (l'ho usata una volta). La comunicazione con i proprietari è stata veloce ed efficace.

Migliorerei le indicazioni in cucina sulla raccolta differenziata dei rifiuti (non si capisce ad esempio dove vada l'organico) e sull'uso della lavastoviglie.
