Euralille: Apartment with balcony!

Location is good (but see below for problems), balcony with a view of new modern buildings was nice. There was everything we needed for a 5 night stay, we didn't use the kitchen other than for boiling the kettle, as we ate out all the time.

The listing says that the apartment is 300m from Lille Europe station, where our Eurostar arrived. The listing also said that they key was in an onsite key box - THIS IS NOT TRUE! The key box is a further 350m walk, so from Lille Europe station you have to walk 1km before you can access the apartment. We have reduced mobility, and this extra walk caused some difficulty. As if that wasn't bad enough, the agent gave us the wrong code for the box, so I spent 15 minutes trying to open it, before eventually managing to get a message back from the agent with the correct code. Much of this time was spent standing in heavy rain. I would suggest that the apartment owner considers using a different agent in future. It would have been very useful to have two sets of keys, there is no door bell, so the person in the apartment cannot let the other person in if they are not together. We did request an additional key in advance, but this was not possible. We have stayed at numerous Booking managed apartments in various European countries, and this has never been a problem before. When we left the apartment, instead of a 300m walk to the station, there was again a 1km walk to return the key.

The location is very convenient, right above Euralille. You need an access card to enter, so the security is quite good! Inside, there are also two elevators with plenty of space：four 29-inch suitcases plus two carry-ons can fit in them at the same time, which is very satisfying.
