Cabana & Au Coeur du Village

Amazing location. Beautiful view. Well equipped. Parking. Nice decor. Supermarket, restaurants and bakery underneath apartment so in heart of the lovely village. Overall really nice place. Neighbours really friendly and helped us park in the correct spot in car park. Communication was excellent and quick.

I hadn’t realised that one of the bedrooms was actually sofa beds in the living room. It was fine in the end but the listing can be slightly misleading. Probably fine if only two people but we were a family of 4. Air con unit a bit noisy

Beautiful apartment in perfect location in the heart of Talloires, right by the lake, with a fully equipped kitchen ready to use. Everything we needed was provided for: comfortable beds already made up, sheets for sofa beds, towels, garden furniture for balcony, cooking oils, herbs & spices. Clean bathrooms and separate toilet. Gorgeous balcony with view over the lake. Designated secure parking behind the building. Small supermarket, boulangerie, cafes and restaurant only a few steps away. Very comfortable and tastefully furnished apartment, you can tell the owners and agents from Cabana take great care of it. Good communication throughout.

The air conditioning unit in the bedroom was a bit noisy. Luckily the temperatures dropped and we only needed to use it for a couple of nights.

The advertisement is misleading when it states 2 bedrooms. There’s one double bedroom and two single beds in the open plan living area that double up as a sofa. I accept that sometimes properties in France are advertised as 2 bedroom when it’s effectively 2 rooms, but this ad felt extra misleading especially in the way the photographs are set out. There were only two towels provided for a family of 4. Additional ones were provided 48 hours later. We had to buy extra toilet roll. The aircon unit upstairs works fine if you place the pipe out the window but otherwise it blows hot air into the room. All of this felt very inadequate for €400 per night.
