About this house rental

comfortable oasis offers a fully equipped kitchen, inviting living spaces, a

quiet courtyard and private garage parking. Walk to nearby attractions like

New City, restaurants and shops on North Ave and Second City Comedy Club. With

easy access to public transit, downtown Chicago is just minutes away. Perfect

for families and small groups, our Coach House offers a comfortable and

convenient stay in the heart of the city.

General Policies:



Guest Age Policy – Guests aged 18-24 may book on an exception basis. Please

include your age, reason for booking, and who will be staying with you in your

inquiry.



Local Guest Policy – Local guests are permitted to book on an exception basis

only. Parties, gatherings, and group events are strictly prohibited.

Unauthorized gatherings or events will result in termination of reservation

without refund.



Primary Guest Responsibility – The booking guest must stay for the full

duration and is responsible for all guests. If booking on behalf of someone

else, please contact us to discuss exceptions.



Parking – 1 garage space is available with your stay. **Please note, there is

a steep slope when pulling into the garage from the alley so any cars that sit

low to the ground will need to slowly pull in at an angle to avoid scraping

the bottom of the car.

Street parking may be available but is not guaranteed. Read all posted signs

to avoid tickets or towing. To secure a spot, use parking apps like SpotHero

or ParkWhiz.



City Noise – Some ambient noise is part of city living.

**House Rules:**



Please respect our home and neighbors. Violations of ANY of the following

rules may result in fines and/or termination of your reservation without a

refund.



1. No parties or unapproved guests - Only registered guests may access the property. Parties, gatherings, and group events are strictly prohibited.

2. No additional visitors - Only those listed on the reservation may enter the property. Any additional visitors must be declared and pre-approved.

3. Respect quiet hours - Keep noise levels down, especially between 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM. Failure to respect quiet hours or disturbances from an unauthorized gathering will result in termination of the reservation without refund and may result in additional fines to pay city tickets or HOA fines for violations.

4. Check-out on time - Please vacate the unit and return any issued keys by the agreed check-out time. Late check-outs will incur a $250 fee.

5. No smoking - Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside the unit and on the building premises. Evidence of smoking, including odor, will result in a $500 remediation charge. Local laws also prohibit smoking within 15 feet of any entrance.

6. Lockouts & lost keys - A $150 lockout fee applies per occurrence. Lost keys or remotes will incur a $50 replacement fee each.

7. Lost & found - We are not responsible for lost items. If something is left behind, we will attempt to locate it and ship it at your expense. Please check all drawers and closets before departure.

* Guest verification - To comply with legal and security requirements, you may need to sign a rental agreement, provide a government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact details, and submit a selfie matching your ID.

* Guest screening - Guests must have a positive track record on the booking platform and provide details about their stay and the guests traveling with them.

* AutoHost verification - We conduct additional screening after booking and reserve the right to decline reservations that do not pass verification.

We had a wonderful time staying here. Having 3 full baths was fantastic and let everyone get ready at the same time. The only thing to mention that other reviews have mentioned as well is that the stairs are quite steep but we did not have any trouble with them.

The neighborhood was fabulous. Varied and wonderful restaurants and bars. Near the Red line and Brown line L-stops, and an easy walk to Lincoln Park and the lake. Walking distance of a grocery. A wonderful location to seeing much of Chicago.

Overall, our stay was great! Checking in and out was easy and speedy, and the location is fantastic for those who like to spend time downtown (the property is within walking distance of the Brown and Red lines). A garage space was greatly appreciated for those who would drive, but traveling to/from O’Hare on the L was easy. We (6 adults) enjoyed our time and the neighborhood.

The house was just as advertised. It was easy to get in and out of and having a garage is a huge bonus. The house was well appointed with everything you would need. Good selection of pots and pans and kitchen ware. Beware if you have elderly travelers or travelers with mobility issues (we did not) there are a lot of stairs. The closets were amazing with so much shelving and hanging space it was easy to unpack and not feel cramped living out of a suitcase. The beds and pillows were comfortable and having two en-suite bathrooms was very nice. The third bedroom was off a sliding glass door that opened right into the courtyard which for us wasn’t an issue but if you have nervous travelers (big city and all) it could be a problem. Also the lower level bedroom did not have access to a bathroom without climbing stairs. We did have issues with the ceiling fan light in the lower level bedroom (it didn’t work) so ended up taking a lamp from another room for that area. We also had issues with the toilet off the kitchen that was running when we arrived and periodically would run after flushing. The layout of the house made visiting and eating meals very enjoyable. We were within walking distance of all the places we love (Lincoln park, the beach, the zoo) We would definitely stay there again!
