La ubicación para nosotros ha sido perfecta. Cerca de la parada de Rüttenscheider Stern para coger el metro o tranvía y cerca de restaurante y tiendas.

no pudimos conectarnos a la Wifi. Lo hemos intentado en varias ocasiones y no fue posible. Debería haber una manera más fácil para conectarse a la red.

We felt right at home. The host was very accommodating. Kind and helpful. Don't hesitate to rent this apartment. It's absolutely perfect. We were there to visit family because I grew up in Essen. The location is absolutely fabulous. We had a car and there is a parking area right across the street which most of the week provides parking except a few days during certain hours( Market Day etc) you would need to park around the neighborhood. Be sure to park within the white lines! There is a sign to check on allowed parking time. The apartment was so beautiful and spacious and we loved the styling. The elevator to cover 3 levels was very helpful with the luggage! However you will have to still use a few stairs , which was doable with my daughter who has disabilities. The area is very good , several grocery stores are in walking distance and Ruettenscheiderstrasse is also a major shopping street with a small village charm. I loved the convenience of the Kiosk ( Bodega) right across which basically has everything you need as well. Also if you don't use a car 2 Light Rails/ Strassenbahn / U Bahn are located near by. I will definitely rent it again if I'm going back!

Beds in bedroom were kind of shaky, felt unstable.

The location was convenient.

However, the overall experience was below expectations. The apartment was not well maintained. The kitchen faucet was loose and had to be held with one hand in order to use it. The bed was also very unstable and moved even with the slightest motion, which made it uncomfortable. The check-in process was not smooth. All instructions were provided only in German, with no English option, so I had to call to get basic information such as the key box location, access code, entrance, and the correct floor. The listing also appears under the “parking” filter, although there is no dedicated parking — only paid street parking, subject to availability. Another downside was the noise: the apartment is located in the attic, right next to the elevator machinery room, which was very loud and caused noticeable vibrations. As a suggestion, it would also be helpful to inform guests in advance that driving into the city requires an environmental sticker, as this is easy to miss and can result in a fine. Due to all of the above, I decided to leave one day earlier. I contacted the host regarding a possible refund for the unused night, but did not receive a response. Overall, the stay was disappointing and several aspects should be improved.
