Connecting with nature in a beautiful little hideaway cabin

Lovely little hideaway that allowed us to sink into nature fully. Hosts were wonderful (provided cream tea in arrival! And a great intro to the area), the cabin is offset from other properties that gives a real sense of being alone all whilst knowing the hosts were not too far away if needed...not that I can think of a reason they would be. Love the local area having been a few times staying elsewhere before. *If wanting to travel around the local area for nature trails check road closures! Tyneham seemed open and wasn't (nice views even from the car!), and Kimmeridge Bay was a no go after a tank blocked the one entrance and exit road. Still managed a nice walk around Kilwood Nature reserve and Blue Pool. Head to Swanage for antique stores!

A lovingly made hut, with tennis court, in a beautiful location near Corfe Castle.

An absolutely exceptional place to stay - from the warm welcome and homemade cream tea with bubbly, to the superb location in the midst of woodland. The craftsmanship in the hut is beautiful and being greeted by sika deer and the resident guinea fowl and peacock in the mornings was the icing on the cake.

The hut is compact, including the bed (which is also quite high, but a stool is provided). Not a complaint, just for information.

Sika Hut is totally delightful. A real escape in a wonderful location, but near to civilisation. Every detail catered for and so private.

Not a dislike, but I felt the bed might be quite small for a tall or larger built person.

The attention to detail in Sika Hut was exceptional with lovely personal touches and good quality workmanship. There is everything you would need from the kitchen with a fridge and hob and all accoutrements necessary. Shower was great with homey complimentary shower and hand gels. The location was very private, peaceful,and beautiful. The Sika deer come to feed in the field, peacocks, birds, and an elderly sheep wander freely. The fire pit and rocking seat make for a perfect evening in the quiet and there's a barbeque, table and chairs and fairy lights which kept me very happy! The tennis court provided a spot of exercise over our 2 days and was such fun. A welcome pack was much appreciated and very delicious scones and jam and cream, just lovely thank you. Keith was so very helpful and will advise on walks, pubs and beaches, etc. He and Lisa have created a retreat where you will have a truly wonderful time. I left a pair of shoes and even got a prompt message to tell us so we could pop back and retrieve them. Thank you again.😊

Idyllic Shepherd's Hut

This beautiful Shepherd's hut is in an idyllic location with complete privacy surrounded by wildlife. We loved the finishing touches that made it so comfortable and homely. Great location to see the Isle of Purbeck

Beautiful and restful!

It was such a beautiful property in stunning surroundings. We had a really peaceful stay and look forward to coming back again!

Minor issue with no WiFi and only minimal 4G but it was nice to be off grid for a couple of days.

Lovely isolation.

It was quirky and back to basics. Lovely nature in isolation. Nobody bothered us for the length of our stay.

Daily breakfast provisions would be nice even at extra cost...?

Great!

Lisa had left us a homemade cream tea and a bottle of bubbly in the fridge in anticipation of our arrival, and when we got there Keith shared his wealth of local knowledge of walking routes and points of interest in the surrounding area. Very friendly and welcoming. A really lovely location, that feels so private and secluded. We loved hearing all the birds, and seeing the deer! Lots of walks on the doorstep too.

A perfect, peaceful and relaxing stay.

Peaceful hidden away location perfect for walking or just relaxing and getting away from it all. The hut is very well equipped, tastefully decorated and very clean. The outside area is beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing with only the sound of the birds and the resident guinea fowl.
