We would love to come back again!

We celebrated the New Year in this spacious house, and it was just perfect! The kitchen was fully equipped, and everything was very clean. There is a lovely garden with a patio and a hot tub. Fortunately, the weather was good, so we had the chance to hike up to Corfe Castle. The views were spectacular.

A fantastic choice for a family or group holiday stay

Fantastic location, excellent choice for a large group with spacious, uncluttered accommodation and large garden including hot tub. Well equipped kitchen, 5 large comfortable bedrooms with plenty of towels and bathroom essentials. Excellent welcome package from hosts. Very responsive hosts. I would recommend and rebook!

Excellent holiday home

This was a fabulous property, spacious inside and out, and well equipped. The hosts have clearly thought about everything their guests might need and are invested in ensuring we had a good stay. We particularly appreciated the excellent welcome pack of high quality produce, 2 high chairs, enough seating for everyone at the dining table, in the lounge and outside, plenty of parking space and the peaceful location.

Everything was brilliant. The only thing we could think of (since we were there over the longest day) was to have curtains as well as blinds in the bedrooms as it was still quite bright in the rooms for children going to sleep.

A wonderful family stay had by all :)

Alan and Clare were wonderful hosts! Really accommodating and even got the property ready an hour earlier than the scheduled time to arrive as well as letting us stay a bit later on check out as they had no other bookings for the day. The location was fantastic, so much around to go see and explore. Although we were only up the road 1 hour from home, it felt like we were ages away. The garden was so big and much fun for the adults and children alike. Everything you could think of needing in the house, was there. Even disposable BBQ's with an honesty box.

Slight de weeding needed in the garden, but honestly this is the only fault I can think of.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in Broad Mead with our kids and grandchildren

Good communication with owners, Clare and Alan. A delicious welcome pack was waiting for us on arrival. Kitchen well stocked with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. Bedrooms good sizes. House is in a great location and surrounded by beautiful fields and farm animals. A handsome pheasant came to check us out each day in the garden. The hot tub on the decking was a nice treat to enjoy after a day out. Great walking up onto the ridge straight from the front door. Interesting Corfe Castle very nearby. Visited Studland Bay, Wareham and Swanage all within a 15/20 minute car ride.

An extra toilet/shower room downstairs would make it perfect, especially if there were more people staying.

Excellent stay in a beautiful location

The house was very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Alan and Clare were excellent at communicating and answered any questions very quickly. The surroundings looking out on the field of lambs was just wonderful. A perfect place to celebrate my 40th birthday.

Lovely place to stay.

The location was great. Nice and clean. There is plenty of room. Alan and Clare were very responsive to emails and went above and beyond in helping with information.

The property was great and warm, but there were a few fumes from the oil boiler. We reported it to the owners, who said it was as expected. We left the boiler room door closed with the windo open, and it seemed to help. This did not impact the enjoyment of the holiday, and we were assured that the boiler had been serviced recently.

Great Dorset Escape

Clare and Alan were in contact immediately we made the booking. The house was in the perfect location, 500m from a great pub, 2.5km from Corfe Castle. The garden was large and safe. The house was spotless and very well equipped. Could quite happily have stayed all week rather than just a long weekend.

Broad Mead, very nice indeed.

It's always a good sign when you're doing the final checks under beds to make sure the kids haven't left anything and the floor is absolutely spotless. Very clean property. The hosts seem to truly care about your holiday experience. Lovely little touches such as cling film and kitchen roll in the kitchen. There were 9 of us staying here and the house was very roomy. Lots of space on floors for kids to do puzzles. Decor was tasteful. Shower was lovely water pressure. Hot tub was fantastic on the last night as the stars were out in force. Nice touch on the remote control operated lighting on the decking and in the front room. Huge fridge freezer. Washer and dryer meant we went back with clean clothes and no laundry to do when back. Really, really good location for corfe castle, durdle door, monkey world, Tyneham (historical abandoned village), Wareham, Swanage. Huge garden surrounding the house with no property nearby onlooking. Kids loved the massive television in the mornings. Loads of wardrobe space and drawers in every room. Big dining table with enough chairs for all. Very, very quiet at night. Excellent communication throughout.

Comfortable, spacious, clean and inviting.

The property was ‘spick and span’ in every detail. We really appreciated the small touches which made us feel very welcome on arrival - local biscuits, coffee, fresh bread, butter, milk etc. left for us. The house was capacious and well-furnished. Nothing was grotty and the kitchen equipment was particularly impressive - really good appliances, crockery, pots and pans etc.. Lovely big garden immaculately kept with views out over fields and sheep. Grandson was awakened at 6am by a mother and baby deer feeding - not complaining. Great location for all the best offerings of the Purbeck peninsula - Corfe, Studland and Shell Bay beaches, Poole, steam railway and so on.

Absolutely nothing! Everything was well organised with helpful notes. Alan and Claire had gone to great lengths to make the place really user-friendly. A fine example of how a property should be presented!

Family holiday from 10months old to 84 & everything in between.😃

Lovely location, close to all the Local beaches & ideally situated for a holiday in the area. Big lawns backing onto countryside , lovely decking & garden furniture, amazing hot tub. The house has everything you could possibly need & bedrooms spread out so family groups can spread out without being on top of each other. The lounge is spacious & so comfy, lots of space to set up the baby’s playpen . A cot, highchairs & baby monitor were provided .House was spotlessly clean, & the hosts left a lovely welcome tray of local Dorset provisions . The New Inn pub is walking distance , great food & they even provided us with take away fish & chips & a tub of fresh veg for the 10month old baby….a life saver after a very long & stressful journey down arriving in the evening!!’ Highly recommend the hosts & this lovely house…we will be back!! Ps…love the sheep doorstops ❤️😂

The only comment I could make ( & it’s not a criticism!) is another bathroom or shower/toilet would be very welcome. The two existing are fine & we managed but with 9 of us sometimes they got quite busy. Maybe an en-suite would be the answer?

First class service in a beautiful, comfortable, secluded but great location!

From the moment of the booking to the end of the stay, the hosts Alan and Clare made our stay extremely personal and comfortable. They kindly emailed me when I made an error in my booking as I had double booked. We were delighted with the wonderful treats they left for us to enjoy upon our arrival. Some yummy biscuits with tea and coffee, the local produce for breakfast and to add some basic necessities i.e cleaning products etc was a very thoughtful gesture as we had forgotten to bring some of our own. The property itself was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable and modern. All the rooms were well decorated and lots of storage was available. The kitchen was stocked up with all the tableware and cookware one would need and also worth mentioning, very good condition and matching always looks good. Facilities in the property were great, and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor garden space whilst enjoying the sunshine. Most importantly from our stay I want to mention is how clean the property was, everything was dust free and very clean. Overall our stay was a fantastic one, we ended up doing very little locally because we were too happy enjoying the homely environment. We loved it so much that we will be returning in the future and spreading the word to all our friends. The price we paid was worth every penny! One would not be disappointed when contemplating whether to book this gorgeous property!

An exceptional property which offered a lot of privacy & beautiful views

The garden & views were exceptional. Communication with our host was very good & they offered a lot of advice on the places we wanted to visit, they were very prompt in answering all of our questions before & after our visit. The house was very well equipped & room were very clean & spacious. Would definitely recommend & we would not hesitate in booking again. Overall a lovely house with beautiful views.

Christmas break

We just stayed for Christmas for a big family get together and had a wonderful stay. The house was decorated beautifully for Christmas, the rooms were clean and very comfortable. The house and kitchen were equipped with everything we needed, and a much better cot and highchair were provided for the baby than we were expecting compared to most places. We sadly didn't get to enjoy the big garden and grounds due to the weather but it looked beautiful. Location was great, close to the small village and pub and just around the corner from Corfe Castle. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer! Communication from the hosts was very good and they were very quick at responding to all my queries.

Amazing property, lovely location and welcoming hosts.

The house was incredible, very spacious and exceptionally clean. Plenty of room for 3 couples. We went beginning of December and all the Christmas decorations were up and on a timer so we didn't have to do anything, on arrival there was a lovely welcome tray with lots of treats and chutneys etc and also a Christmas card to welcome us. I would 100% recommend this property to anyone.

We had a wonderful 3 nights in this property and were very lucky with the weather for mid October.

Excellent location close to Corfe Castle and in the countryside so brilliant for walks. Very comfortable, very well equipped and newly refurbished although 2 bathrooms could be a stretch for 10 people. No shortage of cutlery, crockery or glasses and nice large fridge. Heating worked well. Lovely view of the countryside from the large French windows in the sitting room/dining room. Roaming wildlife and owls hooting at night which you don't get in London which was lovely to hear!

Only a minor point. The main bathroom could have benefited from a larger shower screen or shower curtain. However, I understand that the shower curtain had been broken by the previous renters but had not been replaced at the time of our stay. This has now been rectified so this will no longer be an issue.
