The Hamilton luxury holiday let's- The Coach House with hot tub

Hi spec decoration made the place feel special and the hot tub was a great feature. Needed a location to stay for or son's graduation at nearby Lancaster university. Really enjoyed the property and made a nice location to come from and return to t after the graduation and with the hot summer weather enjoy the hot tub in the evening and even on the final morning. So happy with that side of our stay.

Had a little trouble to access the lock box for the keys. Instructions were less than obvious. But then had a real problem because the keys were not for the front door which had a number on it but for a backdoor behind a gate and garden fence. No live response when we called to say the keys did not open the front door. Assumed front door broken or bolted inside so went looking for another entrance. Because the building is a conversion of farm buildings it was not obvious where the backdoor was. But saw a hot tub and assumed that was in the garden at the back of the property. Key worked so we got access to the property. Serious safety problem on the two doors at the front of the property with the floor being higher than a recessed area with a door mat by each. One on the natural walking path from living room door to the kitchen sink. All of us tripped on the hidden steps and the c9lour of the Matt and step disguised the presence of a step. Especially when light was low. One of us took a very bad trip and we're lucky not to hit our head on the kitchen counter corner. So not family friendly or safe. Accessible design recommends that such steps are made obvious with floor covering of contrasting colours to highlight the step not hide it. PLEASE FIX!!!!! Resorted to placing some bags on the recessed mat by both front doors doors so there was an obvious obstruction to catch the eye and avoid tripping by accident. We also kept using the backdoor as there was no key to the front door. Washing machine was not installed, new machine sitting in kitchen but not plumbed in. Did not need to do laundry as only a shirt stay but no warning about it being unavailable or corrected arrival instructions to use back door and where the backdoor would be found.

Beds are super comfy, lots of room in the place.

Poor WiFi, kept dropping out regularly.

This is a great property. The hot tub was clean and ready for us to use at check in. There is also a big car park on site which is great for multiple people travelling by car. We had no problems with parking. The interior was cool and the house was clean. Very modern and homely. A great place to stay, priced really well. There is an outside bit with a bench and gorgeous willow tree. It does seem to be a shared space but we did not see anyone the entire weekend in the back. Would definitely recommend to all.

The WiFi isn’t the best, sometimes it wouldn’t allow us to use certain apps - but we were all catching up anyway so wasn’t too big of an issue. It’s located on almost like a courtyard so there is 2/3 other properties in the same vicinity. We had no problems with that though but good to know for others. We did see some of the people from the other properties sitting in the inner courtyard, but again that wasn’t an issue for us.
