Luxury Karfas House

The location and the fact that we have a private pool is great.

There aren't enough pots and pans in the kitchen. The air conditioning is inadequate. There's no air conditioning in the rooms, only in the living room.

Location excellent, taverna and shop excellent opposite apartment, beach good BUT apartment had problems - it needs some TLC. We stayed for 12 days- our towels and bed linen were never changed; in other Greek luxury villas in which we have stayed on other islands - this was a daily service. Basic items were missing - these were promptly brought. The shower was broken. On arrival we asked about how the pool was cleaned (in other 'luxury villas on Greek island our pool has been cleaned daily) - this pool was well cleaned on day 2 at our request but then left so by day 12 it was very dirty. No one arrived to clean it again. The pool itself needs work before next season especially the steps which are broken; it feels that money and care is not being put into this apartment. PLEASE NOTE IT IS AN APARTMENT NOT A HOUSE.

We tried to wash our own towels but the washing machine was not that efficient. There was next to nothing left in the apartment about the locality, local buses, tavernas, shops or instructions about cooker, microwave, we did not find the sun loungers until the day we left. Although we were not TOO bothered we think the marketing of this apartment is misleading as you do not have 'a house' but the ground floor only and your first floor neighbours constantly wash large items which them throw down over their balcony onto you if you are are sitting in the back area and they wave at you if you are in the pool. No problem but all this was a bit of a shock as we thought we were paying for a private house. THIS IS NOT A PRIVATE HOUSE. IT IS NOT LUXURY.
