Oak Villa

We had a wonderful stay here. The cottage was really cosy and relaxing. We cooked everyday and the kitchen had everything in it we needed. The welcome basket was really thoughtful (even with treats for our doggies). There were plenty of towels for the bathroom and hot tub (which we loved and used every evening). The cottage was very homely and we had fun playing games in the front room. The garden is great. Lots of different seating areas, and we had breakfast and coffee outside most mornings watching the birds. There is lots to see and do nearby. If you love walking there are walks right from the back garden. We walked around the Beaver Sanctuary, Sculpture trail and Mallards Pike, explored the waterfall at Cleddon shoots, and visited Goodrich Castle all with the dogs (& our 13 and 20 year old kids!). We even canoed 8.5 miles down the River Wye with Hereford canoe hire, which was a fantastic experience. The hot tub each evening was very welcome! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The host left a lovely gift basket with food snacks and drinks. It was fab. The hot tub was very well looked after. Lots of little details through of.

Large beautiful house. Large beautiful garden. Loved the fire burner Pet friendly Lovely hosts Clean and perfect for couples/ friends/ family Well equipped in the kitchen, bathroom, lounge. It had books, games, extra towels. Easy parking in the lay-by on the street in front, just be careful of main road right outside. Fenced garden Beaver sanctuary and walk from the rear of the house

Not the best for mobility issues with a few large steps at back to the garden and I think one up to the house ( not really a reason to mark it down in anyway as there are two flights of stairs inside, just an observation) jacuzzi wasn’t as bubbly as I like and it felt cold after a while but it was cold outside, very pleasant to use to use anyway.

Lovely place to stay, the owners were super friendly. The house is very well equipped with pretty much everything you could need for a stay and a gorgeous garden. Location is great right next to the Forest of Dean with brilliant walking/running/cycle routes. Also great spot for wildlife with beavers, wild boar and deer.

Single room matress wasn't the most comfortable
