just returned from a great week at Villa Gemelli. Reza ( the owner) was extremely responsive to any questions and Irma ( who is on the ground there) was very helpful with arranging things for us. We had dinner prepared for us for the first evening ( great for a late arrival - and delicious!), Irma arranged a wine tasting at Podere Panta Rei which was wonderful, and we had an amazing feast prepared by Luisa and others. I would highly recommend all these things. The only slight drawback this past week was the heat. While they were plenty of strong fans in all the rooms which were very effective, if you are sensitive to heat, be aware that the house is not air conditioned. This is not a criticism of the house at all but something I didn’t think about. Overall we had a fabulous time. Thank you for sharing your house with us and looking after us so well!!

The home was just as described; 5 bedrooms with nice baths, kitchen fully equipped and Very easy communication with Irma the property manager. She is fluent in english. Location perfect for seeing many of the small charming Tuscany Villages around the area within 30-40 minutes and just one hour from Sienna. As each family returned at night we had wine and appetitizers is under the beautiful Tuscan moon. Our 2nd night was special in that Irma arranged a special home cooked Italian meal with Louisa and mama doing the cooking, serving and cleaning up.
The lasagna was excellent! Would definitely book again on our next trip to Tuscany. The McQuiddy family.

The pictures don’t do this villa justice. Beautiful area, huge house, great amenities. All you need for a relaxing stay. Luisa is great, very warm and welcoming. Don’t skip the private chef experience- Julia, Sarah, and Luisa made an amazing home cooked meal, definitely one of our favorite dinners of the trip

We had an absolutely amazing time. The contact person on sight, Irma was so helpful and accommodating. We felt spoiled by the welcome basket we received. The house was very clean and well appointed. It held 4 couples easily. The only negative I would say was we couldn’t use the pool (which is one of the main reasons we chose this villa). The mosquitoes were just too overwhelming. It was a very hot June In Volterra and we couldn’t open up all of the windows because the screens were either torn or not there. We were concerned about the mosquitoes getting inside.
The location is ideal for traveling to other cities like Sienna and Florence if you have a car!
We also arranged through Irma for a dinner to be made for us at the Villa. Highly recommend! The ladies made an incredible dinner and were so accommodating with our special dietary needs!
All in all a great place!
