The location was fabulous! Walk to everything. Especially loved the pubs on the street and the icon laundry around the corner that was so nice and accommodating
The heat! The left side of the house never got warm in spite of our efforts. When we contacted the owners they increased the heat by one hour but it wasn’t when we needed it. We expected the heat would be on the whole time we were there but it was severely restricted

Fabulous location, comfortable bed (we slept well), we walked everywhere. The house is well furnished, styled and spotlessly clean. We all loved the fluffy, new towels, excellent water pressure and high end toiletries (usually I use my own). The dressing-gowns (even though we didn’t use them) completed the ‘eye for detail and luxury’ impression. The kitchen was well equipped. While there are steep stairs, even as an older couple we found them easy to navigate.
Nothing we didn’t like and just some minor comments based on our very personal preferences. We didn’t need all the scatter cushions on the beds — while stylish, they just ended up on the floor occupying space. Also, due to my sensitivities, we moved all the home fragrance diffusers away from the bedrooms.

Historic, well appointed residence with charm. Centrally located and within walking distance to everything we wanted to do in Inverness. Everything was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Kirsty was incredibly thoughtful and went above and beyond for a surprise for my daughter’s birthday while we were there! She also provided a wonderful welcome basket.
Street parking is limited to 1 hour during the day. Kirsty recommended a garage close by which was easy to find and affordable. Street parking was also free from 6pm-8am.
There are fire doors on the kitchen, living room and bedrooms. It’s unfortunate they’re required because it does create some separation in the house.

It was a great house with plenty of room right in town.

The place is perfect for three couples looking to explore Inverness and environs. It's small and (three bedrooms and a living room all closed off with doors so it seems small/cozy. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The best thing is location. You're right at the end of Church St with all its bars and restaurants BUT you're not in the noisy area.
I liked everything!

Convenient location. Easy to access property. Easy instructions. Rooms were extremely comfortable. Nice gesture for the welcome food treats. Spacious for 3 friends that travel annually.
There was nothing that was unpleasant about the Jacobite retreat! I would stay here again.

We loved everything about the property. We stayed 3 nights as a family of 5 adults over Burns weekend. The house its self was beautiful, 3 very lovely double bedrooms, a cosy lounge and a well equipped kitchen with a very much appreciated care pack of milk, bread, coffee tea etc on arrival. The house is decorated to a high quality and impeccably clean. The location is absolutely perfect, at the end of Church Street, next to the famous book shop. A stones throw from The river, bars and lovely restaurants. We needed to contact the host prior to travelling in the storm and they went above and beyond to help us. We highly recommend a stay and will definitely be returning ourselves.
Nothing not to love.

The beds, especially the pillows were amazing like sleeping on a cloud. So much so I have bought the exact same pillows after asking the host where they purchased them.
Would have preferred to have terrestrial TV to watch.

We loved everything about this property - super location
Nothing - you do hear some noise at pub closing times but you would anywhere you stayed on the main strip. This property was perfect base for a family of 6 - grown adult children and their husbands

They had a complimentary basket of fresh bread, coffee, chocolate milk, sweets, orange juice and milk. They also provided paid brunch items like eggs, bacon, meat pudding, sausages, tomatoes, pancakes, salmon, cherry croissants, fresh berry granola yogurt and squeezed apple sauce. It was incredibly delicious!
Location is perfect! Close to everything and the bus stop if you booked a tour. Our host Kim was extremely accommodating and gave us some great tips of what to see and do. Out of all the places we stayed in Scotland, hands down this was our fav!
The house has a historic charm to it. We wished we booked another day to explore. We’ll definitely be back!
We had a car and it was a pain to get it in and out of the car port because of construction.
