Clean, comfortable and spacious. Had a washing machine, little sofa and coffee table. Also a balcony and full kitchen, although I did not cook.

When I finally saw the bill a 5,000 yen cleaning charge suddenly appeared on it. This extra fee was not shown when I searched and in the booking details. It did say "Additional charges may apply", the key word here being MAY, so it might as well NOT apply. I tried to cancel the reservation but could not without paying the whole sum. I wrote to booking and they showed some interested and then just blamed the property for choosing not to list the cleaning fee. The property contacted me afterward 3 times to solicit a 10/10 review. When I told them I wasn't happy about how they snicked in the cleaning fee on my bill they blamed booking for choosing not to display the free (other properties clearly showed the additional fees and taxes, so why can;t they?) and blamed me for not checking the payment carefully. Both booking and the property sympathized, or so they claimed, with my frustrations but did nothing to alleviate it, such as drop refund or discount the fee. Would definitely NOT stay here again and would think twice about using booking in my future trips.
