Do not book: SCAM!!

This place does not exist anymore - but still takes your money! We went to the correct address but the business is gone. Since 2026 there are new owners not associated with the previous ones. They claimed that "MAMA DELiGHT HOME" had to close down due to "many problems". We were forced to look for a new place to stay and are trying to get a refund through booking.com.

It was a terrible experience

I did not like a thing about Mama Delight since it is no longer existing. I have not availed for the booking I paid for since Mama Delight is no longer existing. According to the receptionist on duty, Mama Delight was removed from building by the new building management. Booking.com must remove the Mama Delight from its website to avoid future travellers from booking a room from this homestay which is no longer existing.

Mama delight did not inform the customers nor Booking.com that it is not operating anymore in the address or location or building beside Hamed Center in Electra Street Abu Dhabi as mentioned in my booking. I made and paid a new booking in a different Homestay in the same building.

This Mama Delight Home is a total Fraud. Yesterday late night I reached there from airport with my luggage and found that the accommodation does not exist.

I want my money refunded. Booking.com should black list this property.

Was not sure of electricals safety. Extremely small room especially with luggage of two people one side of the bed.

Nice but with some negative surprises.

Very central location. Clean even if weary bathroom. Washing machine. Possible to use kitchen. Clear instructions made it easy to get in. Budget. Very welcoming and friendly host.

The reality didn’t really match the picture. In my opinion the host could have been more honest about conditions they are providing. The double bed is 200x120 and occupying most of the room. My guess is that room is not bigger than 6m2.

Lovely host, comfortable stay and perfect location in central Abu Dhabi.

The accommodation was great. Shareen was lovely and incredibly helpful. We arrived late at night and she sent us clear instructions for self check‑in, which made things easy. The couple of times we saw her during our stay she was friendly and assisted us with anything we needed. The place itself was clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect —  right in the city centre near the World Trade Center, ideal for spending a couple of nights in Abu Dhabi. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended!

Great value for the price

This Homestay is very good value for the price. It's very central in downtown and there are plenty of restaurants and shops in short walking distance. It had everything I needed and the staff was so friendly and kind. Loved my time here and would come back.

For short overnight stay it can be an option

If I can compare All accommodations from my trip, this was the worst one. The House is divided into several "rooms". just simple lock mechanism is present and there is not too much place in the corridor. The good point is the fast food restaurant in front of the hostel.

The entrance to the flat is messy and it looks little bit creepy, especially the trash hole. Maybe to bypass the smell, there are the toilet naftaliini balls everywhere, so when we left, our clothing smell two more days by the room.

From the first point of entry, the staff were very supportive and provided us with all the information and support we needed. Very friendly and dedicated to offering the best of information to us was very valuable to our stay. Thumbs Up Mama Delight. Highly recommended!

In all sincerity everything was to the point and there is nothing we did not like. The rooms and washrooms were very clean and tidy. The beds were stable and comfortable to sleep in.

Not a nice experience!

It was easy getting there.

Not the room I get was on the picture, really small room more like a hole. Cleanliness was not on the top it was a flat with less cleaning. Refurbishment needed the flat was falling into pieces. Really not a nice experience what you expect from Abu Dhabi. We only spent 2 hours in the flat taking just a shower and we was really like let's get out from here. Not a nice experience, shouldn't been giving out rooms like this on booking.

Bad place bad experience & not worth half the price

This is not Legal guest room someone renting his place illegally. Place not save as it is not proper place> Very hard to get to it because no sign telling it is guest room just room in flat took me 24 minutes to find it & i can easily pay close to this amount to secure hotel. Booking.com is reputedly company should not lose your reputation for very little commission

That the owner took me in after 3 30 in the morning when I arrived after airport... The bed was comfortable and clean..

Not a good stay at all.

Room too small. Actually it was a half room separated by the other half by a poor very thin wall.. You could hear everything that was happening in the other half of the room. And I was not lucky to have a quiet neighbour. No window. Like a prison cell. There wasn't even a door knob. To lock the door I had to use kind of a luggage lock. Worst bathroom I have ever used,

very basic accommodation, many small rooms mostly occupied not by tourists

- The corridors in the building dont look nice and there is a bad smell, but the flat itself is fine. - The flat is divided into many small units/rooms. The walls are not from bricks, but from some material which can be easily used to divide a flat into many rooms. - In the corner of one wall, a space for the door is cut. The doors are much smaller than standard doors. You use a padlock to lock your room. - The Nigerian lady handling the units was kind and helpful. All the other people living there except for one (who told me that they are not renting out rooms when I arrived) were also kind. - The lady told me that my room is one of the coldest. You can regulate the aircon in the house, but not separately in the room. I did not want to disadvantage others by changing the setting, so I rather used a jacket when being in my room. - You will sometimes hear people talking during the night, but I did not mind it since I stayed there only one night. - The flat has 2 bathrooms. The toilet in the bathroom close to my room did not have a plastic seat, but finally I did not need to use it, since I was there less than 24 hours. - There were no curtains in the bathroom, so you might make the bathroom wet if you don't shower carefully. However, there is equipment in the bathroom to clean the floor after you shower. - The people who live there keep bathrooms clean. I think they don't use slippers in the bathrooms, but I do. So hopefully they did not mind it. - When I was there, one couple was too shocked and they checked out shortly after they checked in.

Muy caro para lo que es.

La entrada fue perfecta y la dueña de la casa muy agradable. Nos guardó las mochilas hasta la noche cuando el check-out era por la mañana.

Es literal lo que pone en el titulo, una casa en la que se alquilan las habitaciones con la dueña viviendo en ella. Las camas incomodísimas y todo el suelo lleno con alfombras, cosa que no es nada higiénico. Luego hay dos baños compartidos en los que no hay mampara. El armario tenía un olor muy fuerte a vinagre.
