The location was great, lovely stone walls and green fields all around, very peaceful. It's not far from a main road and was a good base for us to explore all parts of Mayo and Connemara too. Castlebar was only about 10 or 15 minutes away by car - we used the Centra there to top up on our supplies.
The cottage was ideal for us - two good bedrooms, there was a tumble drier as well as a washing machine and best of all a big tv screen for us to chill out in front of in the evenings!
Our hosts were lovely people and it was reassuring to have them beside the cottage in case we had any difficulties.
I did find the mattress on my bed to be a little bit soft - but everyone has got different preferences about that. Otherwise everything was great.
