The property is in a great location, right across from the Duomo on a beautiful piazza. Although it’s on the piazza we didn’t have any noise issues. It is a very cute apartment, large room, a bit sparse on furniture, etc., but everything there was fine to nice. The host was wonderful. He met us to give us the key, and we didn’t realize that there were so many steps. Getting up them with our large suitcase (a big mistake!) would have been extremely difficult. So he carried it all the way up for us. Breakfast at the cafe downstairs was good - pastry and a coffee.

I am very surprised that the 35 steps (at least) to get to the apartment are not mentioned anywhere. The place is very nice, but I would not have booked it had I known about the steps prior unless I had confirmed that we would have assistance going both up and down. The toilet seat continues to be wobbly (as mentioned in at least one prior review). Needs a shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries. The restaurant that is recommended in the apartment, Da Danilo, we found to be fine but not great.

Das Frühstück sollte im Preis bei der Buchung inbegriffen sein . Wir bekamen pro Person je 1 Gutschein für 5 Euro zum Frühstücken im Café direkt im Haus. Das wurde bei der Buchung leider nicht erwähnt . Somit mussten wir noch zuzahlen wenn man etwas mehr frühstücken wollte oder eine zweite Tasse Kaffee wollte. Die Parkmöglichkeit war etwas weiter entfernt und weit zu laufen mit dem Gepäck um zur Unterkunft zu kommen.

The property deserves a 10 for location being within metres of Duomo di Modena, cafés, restaurants, and shops; the room was large; the bed was very comfortable; the aircon was efficient; there was plenty of coffee and a variety of teas; Giuseppe was responsive to any issues; the wifi was good.

Given the location, there is unavoidable street noise from early until late. Although the closed windows do subdue the noise, you need to be aware of its almost constant existence. There are no comfortable seats, only three plastic dining chairs. The bathroom was adequate, with a small, fairly weak shower and tight bidet. The kitchen was adequate, though not equipped for more than snacks or small meals.
