Lovely hideaway as advertised. Tucked away in trees, with the sound of birds singing. Nice large windows to enjoy the scenery. Very good logfire which kept us toasty. Beds were comfortable and the bedding was warm. Very relaxing place to stay. Host gave clear instructions regarding amenities, which was really helpful. Handy to central Hanmer Springs. Overall would recommend.

The fireplace was very nice and kept the house warm which was great considering glass only single glazed. The couch was nice too. The house itself was quiet impressive.
Heaps of things! The place is single glazed, in an alpine area, thats not what you want. All furniture/utensils are cheap; the table, the pans, the table salt, the blankets. They don't get a cleaner in so the place feels pretty gross, the last tenants left dishwasher and bin full. Overall feels like a side project with no real attention to detail or care.
