About this house rental
Welcome to Frio River Paradise. Our home is approximately 2000 sq. ft. and can accommodate 11 guests (13 if utilizing the queen air mattress located in the downstairs) It has undergone recent updates to include improved stairway with addition of a landing to access second floor, new exterior paint, fully fenced in yard for kids and dogs to play, a motorized gate at the highway, improved parking and all new bedding throughout the home. (Even if you have stayed with us before- you won’t believe the improvements.)
The home is a two story/ split level container home. The downstairs has a beautiful river view with direct patio access. It has a queen bed, a two twin bunk bed, and a queen air mattress. There is also a spacious bathroom with a shower/ tub configuration. Additionally you can enjoy the nice sitting area where you can read and relax while taking in the sights and sounds of the river.
The second level (main level) is where you will find an open floor plan with a spacious living room, fully stocked kitchen, laundry room and a magnificent river view. In addition there are two more bedrooms both with queen beds and two full bathrooms. The sofa in the living area makes out into a double bed with a memory foam mattress. (All linens and pillows for the fold out bed are located in the closet of the tan bedroom)
**PLEASE NOTE** This two story home has outdoor stairs required to access the main level. Please consider this if stairs are an issue for your mobility.
All three of the queen beds have been equipped with Purple brand mattresses for maximum comfort.
This home has two separate patios for your enjoyment. The downstairs patio is 900 covered sq. ft. and has everything you need to enjoy the river- large patio table with chairs, lounge chairs, large gas/ charcoal grill, huge outdoor fan, corn hole boards, fishing equipment, and a flat screen TV ready for streaming. The second floor patio is 300 sq. ft. of uncovered space to sit and enjoy the skies- day or night.
We have tried to anticipate most things you would need to fully relax and enjoy your vacation, and have included the following items for your use-
All linens/ towels/ toiletries/ cookware/ dinnerware/ utensils/ water toys/ kayaks and paddles/ grill/ fire pit by waters edge/ outdoor tv and many other things not listed.
The best part of this property is the unique cypress lined and shaded river bank. We own 150 ft. of river front access with a white sandy beach area. Under the cypress trees there is an additional dining table with chairs, Adirondack chairs, and two hammocks to fully immerse yourself in Mother Nature. The water depths here range from 6” of rocky bottom to a 6’ swimming hole. We are fortunate that the river is always flowing even during times of drought. Fishing is fantastic in the upper/ deeper part of the river. With kayaks it is possible to explore much of the river from our location without a pickup service.
Frio River Paradise is not your average vacation rental. We have taken great pride in trying to create a place you will want to come back to often. Please feel free to use any and all parts of the property, we just ask that you leave it as you found it. We truly hope you enjoy your stay.

The best setup ive seen in a while for multi family vacationing with dogs. We couldnt be more happy and will be returning. The fenced in front/back yard with a beach front river access were highlights for our pupps.

Everything was great.We really enjoyed the extra ammenities including the kayaks. Our only problem was that we were given the wrong address? You need to provide a direct cell and email for contact. We had to go knocking on doors to find the property. We were told 6582 and the correct address is 6550!

The property is absolutely beautiful. The location is amazing and great for both kids and adults. However, the fridge did not work the entire trip and we brought food to cook the entire stay. We had to haul food up and down the stairs each meal, 3x per day. Had to keep drinks/meat/snacks iced at all times. The owner did reimburse us for ice we bought. The A/C unit was not running properly and would get up to 86 upstairs each day. The owners did not give a discount or remove any fees on our stay. Had everything worked properly, it would be worth every penny! However, with all the inconveniences, we expected they would discount a little or take off one of the fees. Would recommend checking with them to be sure things are working properly prior to booking.
