Mantarini cottage

The decor was lovely and tasteful. Mary and her family were great hosts and left us lots of goodies to start us off. The gardens were very relaxing and quiet at night.

We found the bed a bit hard for our tastes. It was however softer than the other beds we slept in.

We had an amazing time at the Mantarini Cottage. Mary is an exceptional host who makes you feel right at home with her hospitality. The cottage itself is very tastefully decorated with personal touches that give it the warmth of a relative's home rather than a holiday let. Mary was very generous, not only with the local treats and homemade wine, but also with her time and advice whenever we needed it. Doukades is an excellent village that allows you to be away from the busier pace of Corfu Town while being only a 10-minute drive away from fantastic beaches. Tavernas and shops in the village are all fantastic, and everyone was very welcoming.

Doukades is een super gezellig dorpje in corfu. De hostess was heel vriendelijk, en heeft ons met alles willen helpen. Het appartement was schoon, en had alles wat je nodig had. Een echte aanrader om te verblijven!!

Niks het was perfect

We had a fantastic stay at Mantarini. The house is even better than in the photos. Everything is very new and tastefully decorated. There's a wonderful porch to have breakfast there or to spend time in the evening, and a lovely garden patio with a table under the trumpet vines and the bougainvillea. And Mary, our hostess, made everything even better. She left us many welcome gifts (a delicious homemade liqueur made with an aromatic plant from the garden, homemade white wine, olive oil, beach towels, coffee, eggs, vegetables from their garden, etc.) and gave us tons of great recommendations for places to visit on the island. The house is in a very pretty village, with three taverns in the square where you can eat wonderfully. And it was a pleasure to sleep without hearing a single car noise. If I were to return to Corfu, I would definitely stay at Mantarini again. I highly recommend it.

Nothing. We liked everything. If I had to say something it's only the fact there's no washing machine in the house, although Mary told us they were thinking in put one in the patio and she kindly offered to do the washing for us if we need it.
