Excellent property very clean

I loved the Gothic decor of the entire apartment. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful and the tvs in each room were handy. I liked the idea of the kitchenette because we didn't need to cook much, just have hot drinks as there are so many places to eat in York. It was the perfect gothic setting for relaxing and using as a base for exploring York. There is a convenience shop and pizza place a 100 yards away from the house and bus stops on the adjacent street. If you are driving there is a space at the apartment for a car.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the house or the garden!

It’s very clear that a lot of work and thought had gone into designing and curating the space. It looks better in person than in the pictures. The bed is quite big and all the facilities are great. It’s not too far from the center of the city and the walk there is quite scenic.

My one major complaint would be the bed and pillows. They definitely need to be updated, especially the pillows. They have definitely reached the end of their lives. It’s not feasible to stay there for more than a night just because of this particular issue

The place was really fun, from the moment we arrived there were so many things to check out and a lot of thought had gone into the small details in terms of the themed aspect of the accommodation. The location worked for us, although not right in town it was a chilled out 15-20 minute walk or there were several buses that you could also use.

We found the beds quite uncomfortable, a bit saggy/soft and squeaky. The bathroom was also quite small, the shower cubicle was difficult to move around in. What it had in personality it perhaps lacked in practicality.
