We really appreciated the hospitality and attention to detail during our stay. The host checked in with us several times to make sure everything was okay and was always very kind and helpful. Towards the end of our stay, she even left a little gift for us by the entrance door, which was a very lovely and thoughtful gesture. She also kindly allowed us to check out later, as we were not able to leave earlier. The apartment was well equipped, especially the kitchen. There was everything we needed to cook our own meals comfortably, including olive oil for cooking and salads, coffee, tea, spices and other essentials. We really enjoyed having the possibility to prepare food ourselves. The tableware was also very beautiful and made meals feel especially nice. In the bathroom, there were bottles of shampoo, shower gel and body lotion available for guests. We also appreciated the little extra touches: there was a city map, a city guide, books about Sicily and some board games. These details made the apartment feel welcoming and homely rather than just being a place to sleep. Overall, we felt very well taken care of and really appreciated the host's kindness and thoughtfulness.

The main drawbacks of our stay were the following. There was no washing machine in the apartment. We were able to use a washing service, but only for an additional fee. The same applies to extra towels and changing the bed linen, which also come at an additional cost. For a longer stay, this is something worth knowing in advance. The stairs were another issue for us. They are very high and narrow, which was particularly inconvenient because we had quite a lot of luggage. There is also no air conditioning in the bedroom. There was only a small table fan, which unfortunately was not enough during such hot weather. Because of this, it was difficult to ventilate the bedroom properly: opening the balcony door immediately let in even more hot air, while there was no effective way to cool the room afterwards. Apart from these points, the accommodation was generally pleasant, but these aspects are important to consider, especially during the summer or for longer stays.
