Great welcome, a warm and generous host & hostess. Michel and Jaqueline made our stay very enjoyable and did everything to make our stay successful.
The house is close to the town centre and it is possible to walk to the centre in 10-15 minutes. The Estanimets of Ave du Gand are within 5 minutes walk.
Pre-booked parking is safe and secure.

The owners, Cecile and Michel, could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, whether advising us on where to eat and drink, places to visit, how to navigate around the city, or simply taking time to talk and get to know us. The breakfasts were special, with a huge selection of cereals, breads, fruit, nuts, croissants, cold meats, cheeses, cooked food (bacon and eggs), jams and spreads - including honey from a fresh honeycomb. They even booked a taxi to take us to the station on our last day. All in all, they were impeccable hosts.
Can't think of anything!

The owners were very welcoming and gave lots of ideas of places to visit and places to eat. The room was really spacious and comfortable. The breakfast had a huge variety of food-exceptionally fresh. Highly recommended.
Location was perfect within walking distance of the old town but public transport just outside the door if needed.

A beautiful building and room. Loved hearing about the history of the gallery and the artists. My room was like a work of art itself and very comfortable. Delicious breakfast. Great location to explore Lille and an easy bus ride from Lille Europe. The hosts were also so kind and helpful and made me feel very at home. Lots of information and recommendations on things to do in Lille. I felt most welcome and would highly recommend.
My room was next to the communal space which was fine but not quite as private as some of the other rooms. It really wasn’t a big problem though as drew curtains in the evening and it was very peaceful and quiet for all the time I was there.

A unique and amazing stay! The hosts, Michel and Cecilie were wonderful and very friendly. Everything was in a close walking distance to restaurants and the old city sites.
The rooms were completely modernized but still maintained its original wood timber charm.
The breakfast was an elaborate spread: bacon, eggs, fresh croissants, assorted fruit, juice, coffee, and local cheeses. Highly recommend.

Clean, comfortable and very genial hosts. Very nice breakfast, with thoughtful touches, fresh fruit and honeycomb.
Nothing really, although some more coffee and some milk in the room would further enhance the stay.

Michel and Cécile were wonderful hosts, warm friendly and welcoming. We had rented bikes during our stay and they were very helpful in storing them and making recommendations. They made great suggestions for lovely places to eat and drink.

A fabulous little hotel. The hosts were extremely hospitable, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much bother. The room was exceedingly clean and stylish, one of the nicest we've stayed in. The breakfast was varied, plentiful and fresh, with egg and bacon cooked to order. The location was great - a 10min walk to the centre and with a variety of good bars/restaurants nearby. We drove there and for a small fee we were able to park in their garage. If we return to Lille we shall certainly come back here and would thoroughly recommend it.
Nothing to add here - it was fabulous.

Very private, colourful, artistic accomodation in perfect (!) location. Many bars and venues are just around the corner (but it's still quiet) and also close to Ville historic centre. Most friendliest owners/personell ever!
If you want a large room with "real" windows - choose the "deluxe" room; else it can be a bit dark.
As the house is built basically "on water", there is sometimes "mold smell"

Fantastic place to stay in Lille. The property is located in the older part of Lille, not far from the centre so is lovely and quiet while being just a short walk to shops and restaurants etc. The owners were wonderful hosts and made us feel incredibly welcome without being intrusive. They gave lots of information about the local area. The property itself is wonderfully quirky with lots of character. I had a chance to see all of the rooms (5) and they were all excellent. Our room was on the ground floor and was really lovely with a fabulous large shower room. The room is close to the breakfast area but is really well sound proofed so this was an asset rather than a problem. Breakfast was delicious with a huge choice and all was wonderfully fresh and well presented. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend as a perfect place to stay
A fantastic place to stay.

The owner is really nice and helpful. The breakfast has a good variety and you can ask for extra eggs and/or bacon.
The room we had had a specific smell. We believe it was from the fact that them room and bathroom are not really divided, so when you leave the room close for a whole day it smells like wet towel.

A very interesting and enjoyable place to stay, it has a unique star quality many “normal” hotels cannot achieve. All set in an art gallery. Very comfortable room, an excellent quality breakfast and great hosts!
Everything was excellent, cannot find any faults.

Gorgeous, historic building with beautifully refurbished rooms offering superb accommodation; clean, roomy and very comfortable.
Michel and Cecile proudly share the history of the gallery and architecture if you are interested, which we were.
Breakfast was very good, with a choice of cooked or continental. Parking, for a small charge, at the back of the property was secure and gated. WiFi signal excellent.
Thank you Michel and Cecile.
