The Cozy Cottage Habarana

We highly recommend staying at Cozy Cottage, there are several reasons why.  The family who run the cottages, are absolutely lovely and can not do enough for you.  The food is another reason to stay, we rarely eat where we are staying more than 1 or 2 nights, we eat there 5 nights, the owner is a great chef and prepared a different delicious meal for us every night.  We stayed in room 2 for 6 nights and was really glad we had chosen this place to stay. Cozy Cottage is located 5 to 10 minutes walk from the main town along a very scenic road, with the occasional monkey climbing along the overhead cables and trees. Our room (No. 2) is located at the end of the gardens with a sheltered outside area to sit and enjoy the garden. The room itself has 2 double beds that are comfortable and clothes rack and a couple of bedside tables to charge phones etc. The beds have mosquito nets hanging from the ceiling, although we didn’t find that we needed them. The shower room is a nice size and shower has good pressure and a steady stream of hot water, which was lovely after a long hot day. Breakfast was excellent with a slight variation from day to day, with an omelette, lavariya, small cup cakes, toast with jam and fruit. There is plenty of food and very filling, along with tea. Overall value for money the Cozy Cottage is excellent and would highly recommend if staying for a short or long stay.

Unsere Gastgeberin und unser Gastgeber waren sehr herzlich und erfüllten uns jeden Wunsch. Das Cozy Cottage ist in einer schönen Gartenanlage und verfügt über eine schöne Terrasse im Grünen. Das Frühstück ist lecker, fragt am besten nach sri lankaischem Essen. Auf Wunsch gibt es auch Mittag- und Abendessen, auch sehr zu empfehlen.

Breakfast excellent. Good central location. Staff very helpful. Run by a lovely couple.
