Although it's located in Shirakawa-go, it's about a 15-minute drive from the Shirakawa-go bus station/sightseeing area. So, if you're not driving, you'll need to pay attention to the bus schedule, which can be a bit inconvenient.
The room features tatami flooring, and someone helps you set up the bedding. The bathroom and onsen are shared, but you can book a time for the onsen, ensuring you have it all to yourself during that period.
Both dinner and breakfast are exceptionally delicious, and the service is very attentive. The owner often works alongside his two daughters, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. So, while the price is on the higher side, it still feels worth it for the experience.

The stay was wonderful. The ambience was great, and the winter scene was picturesque. They served local omakase for dinner and breakfast, which was delicious. I would give 6 stars for the cleanliness. However, we had difficulty with communication. Despite trying several ways to contact the owner, we received no response, and we almost missed dinner time. Thankfully, a helpful tourist information officer drove us to the hotel, which was about 18km away, on a cozy winter night. We had a pleasant and adventurous winter journey!
