Palambak Paradise Resort Pulau Banyak

Denny welcomed us in the best possible way and made us feel at home. The Place is simply paradise on earth! They offer day excursions to some great snorkeling spots and to the other island, all worth to be done.

Apaisement et calme assuré sur cette île paradisiaque déserte. Nous étions maximum 7 touristes en même temps, en plus de l’adorable équipe de Deni. Une vraie impression d’être seul au monde sur ce coin de paradis. La nourriture est délicieuse (200k/jour/pers en plus), notamment le poisson pêché fraîchement tous les soirs ! Les cabanes sont sur la plage, face à la mer, elles ont toutes un hamac et une terrasse. Le confort est rudimentaire mais largement suffisant. Il y a wifi et électricité, pas d’eau chaude mais vu la température extérieure ce n’est pas nécessaire ! Foncez sans hésiter !

Rien à voir avec l’établissement, mais c’est tout de même un périple pour arriver jusqu’à l’île. Il y a plusieurs options, Deni vous aidera à tout organiser le plus simplement ! Pensez à prendre des journées de transfert avant et après si besoin, selon d’où vous venez et où vous allez

L’emplacement est exceptionnel! Bien heureux ceux qui auront le privilège de connaître ce lieu ! L’équipe est incroyable de sympathie et de bienveillance le tout dans une discrétion incroyable 😻

Il n’y a rien que nous n’ayons pas aimé au Palembak Paradise !!

This was a hard review to write. The facilities were decent, the location is excellent. There’s a few annoyances listed below, but I would’ve given a 9 if not for the bait and switch tactic.

Limited generator operating time; no fan; no topsheet or cover; squat toilet; cats climbing on the dining table and loudly begging for food; very expensive boat ride to/from the island; the bungalow is advertised as having LR & separate BR, wardrobe, Satellite channels, streaming/phone: none of that exists. But the big problem is that it is a Bait and Switch. When booking, there is a statement that “no meal plan is available,” but there is a mandatory 200,000 Rupiah per person per day meal charge not mentioned until after the non-refundable booking is made and paid for. This doubles the expected cost of a stay without the ability to back out and recover payment. When I explained to Deni that it is unethical to make customers commit to a stay before informing them of the true cost, he kept saying that it’s a good price and other resorts cost more.
