We had a lovely stay in The Mumbles last weekend. The property was absolutely spotless – clean, cosy and so inviting from the moment we arrived. The kitchen was very well thought out and had everything you could possibly need. The bathroom was modern and the shower was perfect. The bed linen was fresh and clean, which always makes such a difference.
The location is ideal, and as we come to The Mumbles frequently, we were glad we had pre-booked a parking permit – definitely worthwhile given the parking situation locally. The weather wasn’t great, but we were more than happy to light the fire and enjoy a cosy movie night in such a comfortable space.

Very good modernisation of old house, well equipped and owner vary helpful via telephone e.g. adjusting heating. Stairs steep and several short flights to move from lounge and kitchen and from bedroom to bathroom, required some agility. Parking was problematic. Reserved parking only near house mainly though 10 minutes walk away was a pay public car park.
Good overall though a challenge due to age.
Overall good accommodation, my age (80+) limited movement.

A wonderful, cozy house with everything you need for your comfort. Warm, cozy, hot water, soft and comfortable bed.
The only inconvenience was the lack of private parking, so I parked my car at the nearest parking lot, which was inconvenient for me, plus there was an additional fee for parking and the prices there were higher than average.

Parking. Rather misleading to advertise “free parking” only 2hours! No parking on any streets within a reasonable distance from the house. Parking in long stay £17 for 24 hours( that was the cheapest!) our stay was January the problem would be much worse in summer!
Your information should be changed from you can buy parking permit through the host to it is highly recommended that you purchase a parking permit even though it is for a week as parking is extremely difficult in the area. However , even purchasing a permit would not guarantee you a space as the road was extremely busy throughout the day.

Unfortunately, although the location was excellent , the parking options weren't great, I think that £34 .00 for two nights stay was a bit steep, and although for a lot longer walk at £30, wasn't a great option either , when the property had permitted parking across from the property , and for the price paid I think that needs looking at ?? But, all in all an excellent visit ...

We booked parking on the road before we arrived; no problem as far as we know.
Please advise guests to enter Walters via Newton Rd, as some maps say come the other way…
Lounge seats are hard.
Not enough crockery and cutlery. The house sleeps 4 people. Each of those 4 people will have three meals a day. 4 x 3 = 12. For the amount you charge you can easily afford twelve of everything… 12 of all cutlery , plates, mugs, bowls etc. , as these things are cheap. We do not want to keep washing up during the day on holiday!

The house is in a central location, less than a minute from the high Street.The house itself is immaculate, that felt warm and inviting on first entrance. I loved the spacious bathroom with its rain shower! The rest of the house was also wonderful. I highly recommend staying here.
The only issue was the parking. Mumbles is a small place where a lack of free packing, for non permit holders, is always going to be very restrictive, especially near the high street . The nearest long stay car park is currently limited due to renovations. Instead, we parked at the Underhill car park that costs 25 pounds for 3- 7 days (we stayed for 3 days). The car park is approx 9 minute walk to the house. There are nearer short stay car park alternatives, but they cost more and are in higher demand due to their close proximity to central Mumbles. That being said, you can park for 30 mins, adjacent to the house (you can't return within 2 hours), to unload your vehicle.

It was a little chilly in the late afternoon / early evening as the heating didn’t seem to come on until quite late. When it did come on however it was lovely and toasty

A beautiful house close to the town centre and a short drive from stunning beaches.

Very clean, nicely decorated house. Lots of space. Comfortable beds. Nice view of sea from the master bedroom. Good kitchen with everything you need, including full size freezer, dishwasher and washing machine - did not use but nice to have. Nespresso coffee machine with coffee capsules. Good shower. Milk and orange juice in fridge on arrival. Location very central for eateries, shop, beach and castle.
Limited parking. Spaces outside property are short stay during the day or for permit holders. OK for overnight parking, but otherwise need to find somewhere else, most likely a pay and display. Not much the property can do about that though.

A lovely property - clean, welcoming and ideal for our mini-break exploring The Gower as a family. Conveniently located near shops, cafes and a short drive from stunning coastline.
We should have researched parking in more detail - our mistake! When we return again, will look into a permit as we spent ‘over budget’ on parking in the car park on the sea front as there was no long-stay parking available in any nearby roads due to how busy it was.

The location is great short walk to the high street and the beach. Neighbours were friendly. The house is modern and clean. We felt very at home! We will definitely come back. The beds were super comfy and the fans were much appreciated as it was hot when we were there. Spacious modern bathroom.
We were lucky with parking as I saw a comment about £25 for a permit for the week so we got one through the owner. However the listing is confusing as it does mention free parking which we didn’t see. And outside is permit only. We didn’t have a problem getting a space once we went out. So definitely worth getting a permit. Also the bin in the kitchen is quite small. We filled it quickly!

The location was great, but the parking was an issue at £17 per day. The bedrooms were great, but the pillows a little hard. Facilities like the coffee maker was fantastic. This is a very good property. We arrived a little early and as it was raining, texted property and they let us in early, great job to accommodate us.
The parking. Hard pillows, slight pieces of mould on bath surround. Blinds on bedrooms don't stop enough light getting in, but do look very nice.

Great location and lovely home. Very spacious.
Supermarket and lots of restaurants nearby. Bottle of juice and milk in the fridge was also a very nice gesture.
Host was very helpful. My son left something of emotional value and Vicky helped us sort it out. He's very happy to get them back quite immediately. They've been more than helpful.
We will definitely be back next time we're in Mumbles and highly recommend their accommodation.

Nice house with good facilities and easy instructions for the key box on arrival.
Welcome provisions were a nice touch.
Parking was an issue with time restrictions in all the roads.
Had to move the car early from neighbouring road to the car park, as the overnight and all day prices were expensive.
Gave us time for breakfast and was ok for a short stay.

A lovely, comfortable cottage in a great location. It was clean and cosy, with plenty of space for four, and dog friendly is a bonus. We loved the proximity to shops, pubs, restaurants, the beach and the castle (which is worth a visit). The beds are comfortable & the double bed at the front is huge!
There are a lot of stairs in the property, and the shower is over the bath which was slightly tricky for my elderly parents. We realise this isn’t something which can easily be changed but worth noting for those staying with young children or elderly parents / friends.

No dislikes however a few recommendation’s. The bathroom lock was slightly tricky (we got locked in a couple of times so decided not to use the lock) Same issue with The kitchen door lock leading to garden we found slightly tricky to unlock / lock.

The previous guests damaged something and the host compensated us, this was a lovely gesture.
It’s not something I didn’t like. But there were 4 of us and not really enough seats in the living room. It would benefit with an extra chair.

Absolutely spotlessly clean. Quiet. Comfortable. Very conveniently located for the sea front, shops and restaurants. Nice little patio in the sun. Nice view of the bay from the main bedroom. Very well equipped for a holiday stay. Very well presented. The owner provided some very welcome extras too.
Parking outside was limited to 30 mins but we could easily park just round the corner for as long as we wanted.
