The Altocolle, composed of a main farmhouse and a restored barn, stands in the hills dominating over the Arno valley, between Lucca and Pisa. Its location, surrounded by olive groves, allows for a relaxing holiday, both for the eyes and the mind. Whoever stays here can decide whether to sit in pleasant idleness or engage in cultural outings: in the latter case, you will be spoiled by the unlimited possibilities. A short distance away are Pisa and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Lucca and its Renaissance city walls, Volterra with its Etruscan remains, and finally Florence, which is only an hour's drive away. In front of the farmhouse there is a large paved and panoramic terrace with table and chairs able to accomodate the entire group, ideal for dining outdoors most of the season. In fact, the house is located at an altitude of about 300 m above sea level and offers a generally mild and sunny climate. On the lawn, to the side of the house, is the swimming pool (14 x 5.5, 1.45 m deep) (17/5-27/10) with garden furniture, gazebo, sun cots, barbecue, wood-burning oven. It is possible to ask when booking to have a baby bed and maid service (the latter to be paid for on location). Central heating and and Wi-Fi connection. Parking in the property.
PLEASE NOTE: Check-in is between 4 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. For arrivals between 7.30 and 10.30 p.m. a 35 Euros fee will be applied. Small pets are accepted only (if confirmed by the owner upon confirmation of the booking). Access to the house along 1 km of dirt track road not suitable for sport cars.
