Bohemian Retreat by the Sea with wood burner, roll-top bath & leafy garden

Code to the key box was given nice and early so no panic close to arrival. Communication from the host was excellent and alternative contacts were also given in case of an issue. Facilities were excellent with everything we required available and within easy walking distance of the centre of Margate (although the walk back is a little harder as it's up hill). Overall a thoroughly good experience

A very relaxing stay. Great location. A well equipped, beautifully designed property with very comfy beds. Excellent, friendly and prompt communication with the host when we had a query. We very much enjoyed Willy's restaurant down the road for a bit of a treat night out. Very handy Aldi nearby and some great local pubs. Easy free on-road parking. Bus stop round the corner with very regular services to Ramsgate, Broadstairs etc, so we didn't need to use the car all week! Property very close to the sea, we enjoyed some lovely evening sunset walks.

Nothing at all

A beautiful gem in a fantastic location in Cliftonville – an easy walk into Margate, the beach and everything you need. It really felt like a home from home with everything thoughtfully provided. Travelling with my two small dogs, we felt very welcome and settled in straight away. The bathroom is absolutely stunning, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved browsing the books. During the heatwave, the sea breeze through the open windows was wonderful. Cliftonville has such character, and it’s lovely to see this historic seaside town thriving again. Dumpton Gap, just a short drive away, was our favourite beach for the dogs to run freely. I’d love to return in winter and enjoy the wood burner.

Very little, honestly. The downstairs floors were a little dusty during our stay, but with the windows open in summer and being highly allergic, I’m probably more aware of it than most guests. It certainly wouldn’t stop me returning.
