We stay in the cottage which was very clean. It is to our great surprise that the food was excellent and tasty. The staff was hospitable, always ready to help.

Laundromat ☑️ but located at the main bath area aka onsen area ( currently closed ivo season) will cost you 200 ¥ to wash, dry depending on your load 100 ¥ for first 30mins
Free carpark ☑️ we stayed in a cottage, so parking it’s easy
Paid Breakfast ☑️ meals all had In cottage
Paid dinner ☑️ serving only Japanese and local delight only … do except raw food stuffs
Paid snow walk/hike ☑️ leaded by experienced Japanese hiker educate of different trees and plants found in during the hike that made some common known items in Japan
Friendly staffs ☑️ even I don’t speak in Japanese language, they used their portable translator to communicate with us

Beautiful location right next to Juniko National Park, with stunning surroundings and amenities, including a large lawn and a children’s playground—perfect for family trips. The cottage is cozy, but be aware that there are quite a few bugs, even in autumn, so keep that in mind when choosing the cottage

We are so glad we made the choice to stay at Awone for our 2 days to Shirakami. Firstly, the hotel picked us up at the Juniko train station right when we alighted from the JR, making it extremely convenient. The hotel receptionist was helpful in providing us tips on our planned hike to Mt Shirakami the next day. They also provided shuttle for us to the parking lot (I.e starting point), saving us almost 1.5h 2 ways. Despite not having a Japanese number, thankfully we had coordinated with the receptionist the prev day to Instagram message them when we were almost done. It was pouring on our hike day, and we were so thankful they sent us a car right when we ended the 8-hour hike.
Both breakfast and dinner were also covered in our stay, and the dinner was exquisite. It was a multi-course Japanese dinner and was simply delicious. An extensive selection for breakfast too.
Overall, we received such warm hospitality during our stay, and the accommodation was also huge, cosy and very comfortable. It was a memorable stay, and I will highly recommend it.
