Garden Apartment

It was far more spacious than I thought it was going to be. It was very clean and fully kitted out. It is a handy 3-5 min walk away from the shops/ restaurants. Good bus/ train services if you want to leave the car behind If you couldn’t park on the drive there was plenty of street parking and it’s a safe area.

We really liked the accommodation and the location. The apartment was charmingly decorated and well stocked (e.g. kitchen and bathroom essentials). We also loved the gardens and the ability to access the garden from the bedroom. We met the people who live upstairs and assumed they were the owners. They were welcoming and friendly. We liked the availability of off road parking although there was also sufficent on road parking.The location was excellent as it was quiet but just a short walk from the center of town.

The shower didn't drain quickly enough and had a tendency to overflow.

Having to negotiate the steps down to the front door especially with luggage, we are in our eighties and not particularly mobile. The tea/coffee mugs were very thick and heavy, I bought two China mugs from a charity shop to use whilst there. No milk jug provided. We had to park in the road as there was insufficient space for our car on the drive. The property was well appointed in general, plenty of towels, although it felt a little damp. It was a little overpriced for what amounted to being a cellar.
