Casa da Torre - A Gema Escondida de Tavira

Loved the location in the historical part of Tavira, 10mins walk to the river but even nearer to castle & pretty gardens. The house was extremely well designed, high standard of furnishings, modern spec & clean. Loved the roof terrace with pool, we would not have booked without a pool given high summer temperature. Two bathrooms was a real bonus as was having a washing machine. Derek, the owner was super helpful with suggestions on restaurants etc & on hand if needed.

Nothing at all, we will be back.

The entire property is fantastic and everything has been thought to enable an incredible stay. The rooftop terrace and pool are perfect, excellently equipped kitchen, and so many extras didn’t even know we needed. Inge and Derek were amazing and all communications were responsive, the check in process was warm, informative and set us up perfectly. In short a perfect stay in a beautiful town.

There really was nothing

We liked everything about the property. We felt at home at once. There isn’t anything you might want or need during your stay that isn’t already there. Everything is so well thought of. It’s a wonderful house at a perfect location and our hosts made us feel so welcome.

Having to leave

The property is absolutely gorgeous- spotlessly clean and decorated with style. It’s in a great location- 5-10 mins from the ferry for the beach and the centre and 5-10mins to the train station (and big Lidl supermarket) in the other direction. Great bakery round the corner. You’ve got outside space on the ground floor, the balcony on the second and of course the rooftop pool is amazing on the third. Inge and Derek are wonderful hosts and have thought of everything: there’s umbrellas for the beach, a coolbag and even a bottle of wine in the fridge- plus they gave us wonderful suggestions for things to do. We didn’t want to leave!!

Loved everything. Just be careful that the stairs/floor can be slippy if you are wet out of the pool!
