Potential for a lovely stay but sadly let down by no hot water & owners response/attitude/lies
On arrival at the property everything seemed in order. and as expected The house was warm and welcoming and the kitchen well equipped. The home seemed comfortable and "lived in" as you would expect from dog friendly accommodation. Downstairs had lino which was practical. There was a stair gate before accessing the upstairs bedrooms which was again practical. The rear garden was safe and enclosed and the property close to the village and beach. The owner called soon after arrival which gave the opportunity to ask about the heating controls as we could not work out how to operate these but were told these were controlled remotely by the owners ( this probably isn't ideal)
Unfortunately no heating or hot water from any tap on Saturday morning or for showers in the evening . Initially as we were told heating/hot water was controlled remotely by the owners we thought this was a blip. I got up early on Sunday to check but again no heating or hot water. We contacted the owners who gave instructions on how we could try and reset the boiler outside! This did not work and alas no hot water or heating for the remainder of our stay which isn't really acceptable. The entrance to the property is overgrown by bushes making the gates difficult to open and close so this really needs to be attended to ( the owner did say this to us on the phone) . Our communication with the owners due to the difficulties around heating and hot water were initially very apologetic and kind on their part with them apologising for it wasting and impacting our stay and advising us we would get a form of refund ( they said they would be in touch with Sykes their agent to arrange this) but sadly after departure this tone and their attitude completely changed which was very disappointing and upsetting. Upon advice we always take photos of the condition we leave a property in and I am glad that this is something we do as the owner has now attempted to say the old, well walked on and tired ( but comfortable) carpets would need cleaned as a result of our stay! The dog was never upstairs nor were we with any outdoor shoes and the property was treated with utmost respect throughout our stay. We have never experienced this before in any other rental and sadly this experience has put me off renting another property. The property was just short of £300 per night and as such it is not unrealistic to to expect basic hot water . Advice any future travellers to this property to take photographs before and after and to not be fooled by polite and kind communication that may change at a later date.

Wonderful, quiet, and comfortable stay- would have booked again this year but all booked- great pl.
Clean, comfortable and brilliant garden for my cocker spaniel. Fantastic to be able to walk round the lane and see castle and walk to beach and bars. Lovely food parcel...much appreciated.
Parking....I was OK to start with as parked outside a house but on last day had a letter on car as I had to park up on pavement slightly! I can imagine in summer it will get busy. Although a neighbour said they were trying to get council to allow a parking area where grass is.

Brilliant!
The location was brilliant, right at the heart of Bamburgh village. The cottage was really well equipped. Fabulous garden and summer pod! We absolutely loved our stay.

Pretty much the perfect location. A great well maintained and clean property.
Good location. Good sized garden. Clean and well maintained cottage. Appreciated the food and drink that was left for us. Owners phone call on checking everything was ok, and giving us tips on local walks was also much appreciated.
I struggle to find anything that I we did not like. It wasn't an issue, but I guess parking, could have been a challenge, at the height of the season, but we were able to park very close so perhaps not an issue.
