About this house rental
The house is ideally located about a 30 second walk to the beach and 3 blocks from downtown. If you open the windows the ocean will hum you to sleep. It's a wonderful place to unwind and relax.
The kitchen comes stocked with everything you could need to cook a large meal, it has lots or art, books, and plants. So many big green healthy plants.
There is a fire pit in the back yard, wood for purchase and a cedar soaking tub that I allow guest to use for no charge. You just have to read all the instructions and provide your own wood/propane to heat it. We have a fire pit in the backyard, beach toys for the little people as well as a wagon for hauling beach stuff. There is a chest of board games, lot's of great light in the house, and a tv that has Hulu, Netflix, and all that jazz.
There is laundry if you need it, parking for up to 3 cars or 2 Trucks, I allow RV/Camper/Driveway sleeping for an additional fee of $25 a night.
I like to let all my guests know that my family and I use this house about 50% of the year so it's filled with nice things that we love to share.
IMPORTANT: There is a train that runs through the middle of Rockaway Beach right along the beach and the house is along that train track. All the beach houses are on the train track unfortunately. It goes by a few times a day and is loud. If you stay any where in town within 5 blocks of theb train tracks, you will hear it go by. Please don't rent the house if you don't want to deal with the train going by.
Last thing to note, we have a Gardner who comes by and waters every 3 days so if you are staying there be aware that someone will come to the front yard to water.

The house is super cute and very close to the beach. Kitchen is stocked with all items you would need; my family of 4 had a great time.
Pros: close to the beach, easy to find, house nicely stocked, etc. My kids loved watching the train each day. It was a great location for walking to town for shopping and restaurants. Very cute and fun decor throughout the house!
Cons: one of the smoke detectors was detached from the ceiling and sitting on top of the fridge, so anytime we cooked on the stove it would go off. The red wagon outside is broken, so we could not use it for the beach (no big deal to us), but for others it might be. The fridge had a bunch of expired/used condiments such as mustard, pickles, etc. in it. There was also used ice cream in the freezer.

Megan was a great host and her place is adorable (if you’re like me you’ll gather some design tips to bring back to your own home). The beds were cozy, and the small floor mattress was super convenient for traveling with a toddler. We enjoyed the outdoor soaking tub almost every night. The beach was a stone’s throw, shops and restaurants within a few blocks, and the train viewing from the front door was the highlight for my toddler. A very fun few days for our family, age 2 to 82!
