We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and cute with plenty of beds for everyone. There are two things you should know before booking. This is not a single family home. There is another unit attached and we heard a lot of unexpected stomping above us. Right outside within feet of the house are train tracks and there is an excursion train that runs several times a day blowing its whistle loudly. While this might be a plus for the train lovers of the world it’s not for everyone.

We stayed in Rockaway to check off a bucket list item & explore the area. This site was amazingly roomy & cozy while well used. We were comfy & happy, would stay again!

We loved the location, but there were things about the property that need repair. The drain in the sink of the only bathroom was stuck down, I could manually lift it about 1/8" to let it drain very slowly. That needs to be repaired. Also, the door handle on the door for the master bedroom was loosely attached. It came off if you pulled on it from either side. In addition, the house is heated by individual room heaters and this time of year the temps were in the 30s. All but one heater was off and the one that was on was set to 50 degrees. The house was FREEZING when we checked-in and the first night's sleep was VERY cold. All heaters needed to run for about 12-18 hours to get the house back up to a reasonable temperature inside.
