Domum Retro Comunist Apartment

L'appartamento è molto particolare, arredato in stile anni '50 con molta oggettistica d'epoca. Pulizia eccellente e ottimi servizi. L'aspetto più favorevole è sicuramente la posizione. Collegata a tutti i mezzi di spostamento (stazione bus e taxi) e vicinissima al centro storico (5 minuti a piedi). Self check-in molto semplice. Grazie ancora di tutto all'host, persona gentilissima e sempre disponibile.

Struttura un pò fatiscente che a tratti emana odori spiacevoli, ma è normale, è una casa d'epoca. Per il resto tutto perfetto. Per pochi giorni è una soluzione ideale.

This is a mixed review. We enjoyed the excellent location, the silence, ample space and sitting areas, excellent communication with host, good water and heating system, comfortable beds, browsing respectfully around the different items, having a big supermarket opposite, being able to pick up airport bus next to nearby shopping centre…Good to get a feel of life in communism. Thank you for having us and giving us access to your wonderful collection of objects. We enjoyed the magazines in particular and the book about the 1989 revolution with lots of photos.

This is a mixed review and we don’t mean to discredit the efforts of our host, for it is clear they intend to make the property pleasant for visitors. The building is old and smelly, the smell coming from the pipes and pigeons. This was particularly noticeable in the lift shaft but it transpired into the apartment. We found this unpleasant in particular in the kitchen and bathroom. We understand this is difficult to mitigate for the host, who has indeed fitted new windows (but we had to keep close to keep smell out) , but for us it was rather unpleasant and hard to bear. We opened the windows onto the side street instead. The kitchen has a microwave but it is not a “fully fitted kitchen” as per description ( please, host, amend this! 😉). There is no stove so we could not cooked the food we were carrying as we expected.

Die Einrichtung hat Charme. Der alte Fernseher hat sogar funktioniert! Gute gelegen in der Innenstadt, die Bushaltestelle für den Bus zum Flughafen ist gut fussläufig erreichbar

Das Treppenhaus war heruntergekommen. In der Unterkunft sah auch manches nicht so gut aus (zB bauschaum im Bad). Es war etwas staubig, einer von uns hat sich nicht wohl gefühlt. Für den Preis aber alles in Ordnung.
