Great host and great location

Ottima posizione, l'host gentile.

Perfect location adjacent to the main railway station and good for short stays if travelling by train. Despite shortcomings, the convenience factor was paramount for us. The historic centre is within walking distance as well. The apartment is no frills but spacious and comfortable although lacking some commodities you would expect to find in budget accommodation.

As a temporary base you would overlook the unfinished state of our room and the cleanliness is acceptable if you’re not too fastidious. However, the droopy shower rose on the ubiquitous Italian shower stem is well past its glory days and needs to be replaced - it just doesn’t do the job! An additional blanket would have been appreciated. The kitchenette is fine for self catering but utensils and crockery are very limited so what’s the point? A bottle opener would have been useful. The meanness of the lodgings is mirrored in the transactional dealings with the owner/agent who was the least accommodating of all the providers with whom we had the pleasure of interacting.
