About this house rental
North Downtown home with 2,500 square feet of living space and a fully fenced-in backyard. Hardwood floors throughout. A mile to the historic Downtown Mall.
Stately home with high ceilings, large open concept floor plan, large rooms, lots of light, and close to the downtown mall, 29, and UVA.
Stroll down the gorgeous Locust Ave, or enjoy your space with a fenced-in yard, a front porch that feels like you're in your own private tower, or the large covered back deck.
There is a master suite with a full bath on both levels (Main & Upper). There are 3 additional bedrooms upstairs as well as an additional bathroom. All bedrooms have king beds. There’s also a full-sized sleeper sofa in the living room and a half bath on the main level.
Fresh linens, towels, hairdryers, and a starter supply of daily essentials (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, hand soap, dishwasher detergent, dish soap and sponges, trash bags, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, etc.) are provided. Once the starter amount provided is gone, you will be responsible for buying what you need for the remainder of your stay.

Our family enjoyed this beautiful home where we stayed for a wedding. Very clean and well-kept, plenty of supplies and extra linens, and plenty of room. Communication with owner was pleasant as well. Traffic noises at night made it a little hard to sleep, but this may not be a problem for everyone.

Our group of six were in town for a long weekend to enjoy a concert, winery tours and a trip to Monticello, interspersed with waking to town to shop and eat. Our accommodations were great, plenty of room for each of the three couples to have privacy and comfort in the shared spaces. The property was clean and conveniently located for our activities. The property could have easily accommodated more guests, so we'll certainly consider this location for the future if we make our way back again! Property host was very communicative on all fronts.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The bedroom had finishing touches like sound machines. The kitchen could use a few new basic cooking updates - pots/pans and we had to do a wipe down of the kitchen upon arrival and the floors were not clean - feet/socks were dirty from walking on them starting the first day.

Our group of retired teachers were very pleased with our stay at Long Street! The house was well equipped, clean and it was very spacious! The beds were so comfortable! We enjoyed our stay in Charlottesville and highly recommended Long Street Cottage as a place to call home as you visit!
