Roof Moon - La terrazza dei Quartieri Spagnoli

We loved pretty much everything about this property. Fabulous location, right in the heart of the Spanish quarter, which was wonderfully chaotic and full of character. Lots of eating, drinking and shopping options nearby, and close to the ferry port for Sorrento. Metro to the central station a 5 minute walk. Great roof terrace with loads of space and plenty seating options, which we used each day. Apartment was very comfortable and pretty well equipped, but could be improved with a couple of very minor additions, none of which affected our enjoyment of the property. Great communication. Check in was very easy, and we were met with the keys and shown around the apartment. Remember that you will need to pay the tourist tax in cash or by link before you leave. €6 per person per day.

Minor improvements. It should be noted that we didn’t ask for any of these things during our stay, and it’s quite possible that we would have been provided with them, had we asked. We couldn’t find an ironing board, although there was an iron in the apartment. No clothes airer in the apartment, although it was possible to hang clothes from the balcony. We bought and left clothes pegs. We also bought and left an ice cube tray. Only one set of keys, which were needed to turn on the electricity. If one person was going home early, they needed to be taken to the apartment and let in, then use their phone torch to be able to see. We’re heavy sleepers and wouldn’t necessarily have woken up to let them in if we’d kept the key. No sun loungers, as shown in photos. Our daughter was looking forward to lounging in the sun!

Lovely terrace with outdoor furniture. Property in a very buzzy part of Naples with good bars and restaurants nearby. Close to many areas of interest. Property was well provided for - although an electric kettle would have been very welcome.

Small decorational/maintenance touches could make a good property excellent.

Non è presente ascensore quindi fare tutte le scale con le valigie e di rientro dalle escursioni è stato faticoso. L'acqua calda funzionava solo se accendevi o riscaldamenti.

The location was in the Spanish Quarter and near all attractions. The room was well soundproofed so you were not disturbed by late night revellers downstairs. The rooftop is great (but was too cold and rainy when we were there to use). Spacious and clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Decorated for Christmas - thank you. Heating worked well.

82 steps up to the room. No ledge to rest a bag. Was a big problem for us arriving and departing. On departure we were threatened by a resident on a lower level (as our bags made too much noise for them on the stairs). They were reported to the police by the hosts. This was terrifying. This was a shame as the hosts take great pride in their apartment and tried their best. Those with mobility issues eg elderly or those with children or even a large family carrying large bags will struggle.
