Sasak Experience

Beautifully designed home made of natural materials, the construction allowed for great ventilation such that I didn't need to switch on the air conditioning at night to fall asleep! Breakfast was a simple yet delicious sourdough + scrambled/omelette with coffee/tea + fruit juice. One thing to note: the toilet and shower are on the ground floor, separated from the second floor bedroom by a flight of stairs! The bed was so comfy!!

A beautiful, peaceful eco-friendly bamboo bungalow just minutes from the heart of Kuta. With only two bungalows on the property, it feels like a private retreat. I loved the outdoor deck, private berugak, cool AC, included breakfast, and the quiet location just a short walk from the main road.

The garden was very beautiful and peaceful. The property is set back from the main road, which was a big advantage because it was much quieter. The breakfast was tasty, the toilet was clean, and the host was friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. It also felt like an authentic local homestay experience.

The cabin could have been much cleaner. The shower curtain had some mould, there was very little storage space, only two hangers, and the mattress was placed on pallets on the floor. Access to the cabin was difficult, the padlock was extremely inconvenient, and the sliding doors often got stuck. The walls were poorly soundproofed, so we could hear the neighbours, motorbikes and nearby construction work. The curtains were not blackout, so a lot of light came in early in the morning. The room was only cleaned once during our stay, so we had to use the same towels for three days. After cleaning the room, they also left the padlock open, which made us feel uncomfortable. Breakfast was tasty but slow, with very few options, and there was no proper table or dining area. They had no milk on the first day, which we understood, but they still had not restocked it by the second morning, so we could not have coffee with milk.
