location is idyllic. the friendly and energetic owner did everything right and anticipated every request.

A great location and a comfortable evening at short notice.

Good and generous breakfast. The town itself was buzzing, and restaurants were open even though it was a Monday (though the patron did not seem to know this).

I suggest moving the electric sockets nearer to the bed itself, and put in ones with USB slots in. It seems very old-fashioned not to have this, and it is essential these days, when everything, including booking that room, is done using phones.

Lovely weekend in a beautiful region of France with a hotel that gave us peace, quiet and comfort.

We came all the way from the states for a cousins wedding in herry. I booked based on location and ratings. It’s exactly what we anticipated. Quiet, calm, relaxed atmosphere. Very kind staff. We sat in the courtyard for an hour to enjoy a bottle of wine of local fare and it was a great way to start the evening. Enjoy a picturesque view of the town from the island during sunset. Breakfast was great and not rushed. Room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Nothing fancy but a great place to stay for a night or weekend.

Great stop-off location on Loire bike route

Very convenient location both being on the bike route and on the island below an enchanting town, excellent facilities (so long as, like us, you don’t like air-con), good breakfast served from early on. And, if you ignore the ‘Baignade Interdit’ signs, very close to a great little sandy beach on the Loire where all the locals swim safely with maximum depth in summer of about 1.5m

We had a room right by the N-road which, although it calmed down at night, still impinged and meant it really wasn’t sensible to have the window open - but it did have excellent triple glazing that kept 90% of the noise out

A place for sighseeing the upper Loire area.

We staid for four nights in La-Charité sur Loire for sightseeing and wine tasting in this part of the Loire. Le Bon Laboureur was a good choice for a hotel in the town and on an island in the Loire. So all the restaurants were in walking distance. Unfortunalely there are not many restaurants open from Sunday night to Tuesday. Not the fault of the owner of course. Also the fact that a lot of heavy traffic runs over the bridges is not his fault. We were warned upfront that our room was oriented to the street. We appreciated the breakfast and we want to express our special thank to the room service which was excellent.

We were safe, stored our bikes easily, well-advised about services and schedules, and comfortable.

There was an enclosed garden which was quiet and offered both shade and sun. The rooms were clean and quiet. The breakfast was plentiful and good. We were within a short walking distance of La Charité .

friendly nice hotel

Nice hotel on a little island. Not very fancy and bit old, but quite practical and clean. Good for people doing the loire biking like us. Host is very friendly and helpful (helped us with a flat tire). Breakfast is good. Room and bathroom were bigger then we expected.

When in a ground floor room like us (which as such is very practical) the noise from people above can be bothersome.
