Le COQ Wagner - Garage -AC- Swimming pool

The apartment was a great base for our stay in the Cote d'Azur. The location was great with a small supermarket on the ground floor, train and bus stations within short walking distance. The apartment was clean, had everything we needed and was well presented. The apartment is on a main road and the balcony is on this side, whilst noisy it didn't bother us. Enjoyed having our breakfast on it and watching the world go by. We loved Menton and there are great boulangeries and restaurants within walking distance - La Trattoria was lovely! Also the homemade Ravioli from the market was delicious! My new favourite place in France!

There wasn't much to not like. Only some minor things - whilst getting access was well explained, it didn't work at the first step. We had to rely on a kind neighbour to let us in. - air conditioning didn't work. Thankfully we were leaving as the heat wave hit! - shower head would need to be replaced.

Moderne, helle, sehr saubere Wohnung mit genug Platz für 4 Personen. Direkt erreichbar mit dem Lift aus der Tiefgarage, wo man das Auto in der eigenen Box parkieren kann. Sehr bequeme Betten, grosses Bad und gute Küchenausstattung. Schöner Balkon mit Sicht in die Berge und die gegenüberliegenden Häuser. Obwohl die Wohnung direkt an einer Strasse liegt, ist dank der sehr guten Fenster, der Lärm kein Problem. Den Pool haben wir nicht benutzt, da die Lufttemperatur zu kalt war. Die Wohnung befindet sich im 3. Stock über einem Lebensmittelladen. Super um am Morgen frisches Brot zu holen. In 20/25 Minuten ist man zu Fuss mitten im historischen Zentrum von Menton. Der Bahnhof ist dafür sehr nahe. Die Gastgeber reagieren sehr schnell auf Fragen und helfen wo sie können.

Die Entfernung zum historischen Zentrum ist eher weit. Aber der Weg ist gut zu gehen und man läuft an vielen Geschäften und Restaurants vorbei. Für uns wars eigentlich kein Problem.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation

The apartment is above a very noisy road, so noisy you cannot have a conversation on the balcony. Motorbikes are the worse. The accommodation is listed as a two bedroom property but there is one bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The swimming pool is tiny and nothing like the photo. The garage is very narrow, only suitable for a small car We had difficulty getting in to the property as the key lock box unluckily jammed. The owner was very helpful and got us in in the end but there was no spare key as the agent was out of the country. The need to download PassPass as a way of finding out when the property is ready is time consuming It’s really expensive for what you get.
