The Luxe 8th St Suite

Everything was great and there was nothing to not like. Firstly, the place is really pretty and well appointed. There is a big Safeway within walking distance and we were and to buy all the ingredients to cook dinners. The area felt safe and it was well communicated to downtown with a nearby metro station and loads of bus lines. We were in by dinnertime every night, so I can't speak to what nighttime feels like outside, but I can say that it was quiet when going to bed and we stayed 6 nights. My 9 year old really enjoyed the board games like Jenga, uno, Monopoly, checkers, chess, and Scrabble. The kitchen was spacious and had everything you needed to cook meals, including oil and seasonings. I wish more accommodations had these things in place as it makes a world of difference. Communication with the host was easy and they were quick in responding. They were super understanding and accommodating as we had a late night flight and they allowed us to store our luggage after check out for a few hours.

The only things I'd ask the host to consider is a small step stool to reach the cabinets in the kitchen and an adjustable shower height. All the spices are stored above the stove, and I'm 5"2 and struggled to reach them and the shower heads are really high. To get the hand held head down for my daughter to wash her hair, I had to stand on my tip toes, and was still barely able to reach it.... Not sure if it's possible to have that height adjustable or not... Like a shower head that slides down on the pole. We managed, but if I was any shorter it would not have been possible to help her get it.

Spacious, comfortable, great location

The place was beautiful and extremely convenient! It came with anything you could possibly need. There is even stuff to make coffee! Everything was really clean and there were little notes and instructions around the condo. The host was very kind and gave clear instructions for check in. I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to a friend!
