Myrtle Stables - converted, self-contained, countryside

The Thanet Bypass was very close and noisy

It's absolutely perfect. Excellent location, so beautiful and quiet with an amazing private garden. My husband and I were visiting some friends in Canterbury, and they came over for a lovely BBQ in the garden. It is a perfect location if you want to be out of town but only a short drive away. Only 15 minutes from Canterbury West station by car. The accommodation is stunning ! Just as advertised, so comfortable, modern, and super clean. All the amenities we needed and a few lovely extras left for us by the hosts, including some bread, milk, cookies, and fresh eggs. The hosts Julia and Mark were wonderful. They left us to our holiday with no interruptions other than when we needed anything, then they were super attentive. They even went out of their way to buy a lovely big garden umbrella for us so that we could use it for our BBQ. Honestly, I couldn't have had a better time. I would definitely recommend and will certainly be staying again.

Location was good - the whole house was lovely and clean - and there was a welcoming pack to greet us - the lounge was quite comfortable

Myrtle Stables was quite difficult to specifically locate down a narrow lane - as other properties also have Myrtle in their name, Very misleading pictures on the owner's web site in respect of the "STUNNING views from the Juliet Balcony" and also the "Velux window" - these pictures were well out of date - as the trees had grown considerably - to a tremendous height even exceeding the height of the house - and making the house quite dark. The decking area in the rear had two metal chairs and Road noise from the A299 was constant. There was nowhere to store clothes in bedroom two - and not even a chair, Also the upstairs floor surprisingly creaked in several places
