Lovely flat with plenty of character

Second bedroom blind wouldn't close/open. Couldn't sleep after 5.30 a.m due to daylight streaming in.

The flat is very spacious. The living room, kitchen and amin bedroom are all of a good size, and the smaller bedroom was acceptable. Plenty of storage space in all rooms, and the large mirror in the bedroom was a bonus that is not always seen in properties. The flat was nice and warm when we arrived :)

The slatted blind in the smaller room would not open or close, so the slats were stuck in a semi open position. This meant it was dim in the daytime, and too bright at night (street lights, moon light and daylight at 5am). The kitchen blind slats were closed and would not open, so the kitchen was always dark. The strings to open the blind were also broken, so we couldn't raise it. Whilst the property was generally clean, there were a couple of less clean areas - eg some floor corners were a little grimy, as was the bathroom window sill - it was cleat that objects such as the oil diffuser had been cleaned around rather than being moved. Overall it was OK. It felt a little tired in some rooms - eg the back of the bedroom door was previously black, and appeared to just have a thin white layer of gloss paint over it, and the handrail on the stairs has seen better days.

The property was well kitted out with everything we needed and lots of small additional supplies which made the stay easy and comfortable. Very friendly and responsive host.
